What are your expectations for the Club World Cup?
[Lucas] We’re coming from having an incredible year. We’ve won all the titles we’ve played for and we’re at a pretty high level of confidence.
And because of what Bayern represents, which is always winning all the titles, we’ll go into the Club World Cup wanting to win it from the very first minute.
[Lucas] I have a lot, but theres’s a difficult one: Entschuldigung! It’s like “I’m sorry“ or “excuse me“.
But i tell you, writing that word its imposible! (laughs).
What German food do you recommend?
[Lucas] There is a dish that is typical here, which is sausage accompanied by something else that I don’t know what it’s called (laughs).
The food is good, but to me it’s not like my French food by any means… (the shade hshshs).
What place in Germany would you recommend to Gignac?
[Lucas] I can’t name things like what he said, like Tulum or Playa del Carmen.
Here in Germany, the only place I know is Munich, it’s a very beautiful place and the people don’t bother you.
On a saturday night, maybe everybody is out, but if I go out for dinner, I have no problems with anyone.
Favorite player growing up?
[Lucas] I had a lot of favorite players, actually.
Zizou, was the one I really loved.Thuram also and Lizarazu.
I loved all the players (no matter the position they played).
[Lucas] Simeone, because he was the one who taught me the most and from whom I learned the most.
And then, the one I started winning titles with was Deschamps, so I think those two are the ones I learned the most from.
[Lucas] I would say Javi Martinez, I spend all day with him, he is a great player and above all, a great person.
[Gignac] I thought you were going to say Thomas Muller.
[Lucas] Muller is very very funny, but the problem is that I don’t understand him at all!
How do you feel about the fans of your club?
[Lucas] When I first came to play here with Atleti in the Champions League a few years ago, I could see that the Allianz Arena was a pressure cooker.
The people never stop singing and jumping, and well, they are lucky that there are always a lot of goals at the Allianz, so they’re always very happy.
If you have to choose: would you pick half your height or double your weight?
How could I be half my height? I would already be too small!
Definitely double my weight.
