A piece so nice I made it my wall paper! This is Percy, an assassin hunting down a cult to avenge his mother.

These are two characters I redesigned recently. The one on the right is Mary Nocturne, and the one on the left is Sterling Bell. Mary is a sweet, wise young woman who travels the world to experience life in its fullest. Despite being blind, she can see magic and souls.

Sterling is her body guard, raised by a group of undead demon hunters, and who lacks any sensation or physical feeling. The only person he CAN feel, however, is Mary.

And so, the two experience life together, and enable the other to live more then before.

Maybe one of these days I will go over the design differences to highlight my process, who knows!

In Sea of Stars made by Sabotage Studio is amazing! They always flip the character's sprites when walking in the overworld. So whenever Garl turns around his scar switches sides. I think it would be hilarious if the other characters noticed but he never realizes.

I wanted to use this as an excuse to try my hand at a practice comic and some new shading. It turned out pretty well!

I've been designing a cast of draken knights for a while, so I'm starting off this long chain with the first King of Caerdriag; Artorias Pendragon.

His initial rule was filled with war as he conquered as much land as possible for his disenfranchised people. His knights helped him to reform from this violent path, and he now leads with the peace and wisdom that only a pained life can bring. (1/18)

Delvin the barking knight He doesn't care for romance, honor or even fighting. Acting more as a jester, he prefers to lounge and crack jokes to brighten everyone's day. He is the bravest knight due to his refusal to let cruelty rule his life and his willingness to risk his life for the innocent despite being weak and small.

the kicker is he was being asked if his work was coming from the approach of man vs. nature aka “THE ENVIRONMENT STRIKES BACK” but no. his literal words were along the lines of “sharks are not very scary if you are never in the water so i had to make them scarier, and now they have legs.”

A few years ago, I went to an anatomy conference and they had a huge 3D printed vampire skull, and these thoughts have been on my mind ever since I saw the teeth up-close.

The under-utilized potential for this bothers me a lot… like in movies… it’s just bite and done!

What happened to ritual shaving or elaborate skin engraving?
