After raising the Veil to imprison the Evanuris, Solas fell into a magical sleep that would last for millennia. His body lies dormant while his consciousness wanders the Fade, surrounded by spirits, fractured memories, and imperfect recreations of the world he sacrificed to save. He still believes the Evanuris had to be stopped. He simply cannot forgive them for making the cost so monstrous.

Then a mortal dreamer reaches the secluded corner of the Fade no one was ever meant to find. Solas bends the dream against them, strips away its warmth, fills the dark with teeth and footsteps, and finally sends the six-eyed shadow of Fen’Harel to frighten them awake. They remain. Suspicion becomes curiosity, curiosity becomes anticipation, and after centuries spent convincing himself that solitude was enough, Solas finds himself waiting for the impossible dreamer to return.
