queenxfaye replied to your post “What happened to your face?”
"...well that's pretty obvious, dumbass. I meant /who/ punched you?"
"Why does that matter?"
"What happened to your face?"
"A guy punched me in it."
|REACTION MEME| Bruised and Broken Version
"Woah, when did you get that?"
"Who did this to you?"
"How many time have I told you to be more careful?"
"You’re saying this was an accident?"
"What a shiner!"
"If you look like this, I’d hate to see the other guy."
"I’m not buying it, you don’t walk into a door and get a bruise like that!"
"Does it hurt when I touch it?"
"Let me kiss it better."
"If you don’t rest, you won’t heal."
"Another fight?"
"What happened to your face?"
"I don’t think your arm is meant to bend like that…"
"Let’s get you to bed."
"Let’s get you to the hospital."
"Why are you so calm about this?"
"You’re bleeding!"
"What are friends for, ey?"
"So, instead of helping you, they ran off the moment they saw what was happening?"
"You need to look where you’re going."
"I’m not accusing anyone, I’m just saying it looks suspicious."
"Do you want to tell me what really happened?"
"Don’t move! You’ll faint!"
"I’ve got some bandages, wait a sec."
"You’re the clumsiest person I know."
"I won’t let you be on your own, not when you’re like this."
"How could you be so careless?"
"I can’t even look at you, you promised not to get into any more fights!"
"H-how many of them were there?"

"She got in yesterday"
Okay so maybe Cassie did like fairytales, but her idea of a fairytale was being normal a goal to never be reached, Diana was more into the white knights and white horses and stuff like that. Cassie, wanted normal, even if it was just for a day, she just wanted some normal for once. The fact that he said he didn’t like Faye didn’t exactly surprise her, Faye wasn’t so bad after a while but it wasn’t like she could become best friends with her, she couldn’t see Nick sleeping with her either. Okay, no she wasn’t going to think about that, ever ever ever again, she was already kinda getting sick to her stomach thinking about that. She quickly put her mind on something else, something she liked unicorns and Nick, not Nick sleeping with Faye, just Nick and she was fine again.
”But you like me?”
Like her? Of course he liked her, she was strong, she was beautiful, she was radiant and that was on a bad day. She had a spark and it was different from Diana's pure light and goodness that was so overwhelming it hurt, or Faye's dark spark that kindled a flame of something that was entirely passion and burned too hot to touch. No, Cassie was something else, something that took his breath away and made him want to be close to her, to sweep her up in his arms and hold her close, or maybe just bask in her presence. She was the only person in the world he felt comfortable around, comfortable enough around to actually show some real honest to god emotion for once because contrary to popular belief, he did have emotions, he was just very good at hiding them from prying eyes.
"I do like you. A lot."
If Cassie wanted to be with Adam, she honestly believed she would be, if she wanted to be with anyone else in the circle or even a human, she would be. She chose to be with Nick, understanding fully that he was a strong silent type and as Suzan put it, he kissed like a iguana and had no real human emotions, was a reptile. However, the moment he said that she had him worried after passing out for a tad, she liked him. It’s odd how just some concern would impress Cassie but it did. That’s why she agreed to being with him when he said that she might not love him but they’d have fun. Cassie thought for a moment at Nick at his words, thinking for a moment of a good reply. She looked up at him a small smile on her face and all, the Cassie smile.
“You would’ve left by now and simply not care, if that was the case or still have your arrangement with Faye, which I know for a fact has ended.”
Nick wasn't the white knight on an equally white horse, he wasn't the fairytale prince and that was perfectly fine by him. It just meant that, as far as he could tell, Cassie deserved someone better. Someone a little more emotionally available. Not that he'd mention that because he wasn't even sure Cassie herself had realised it yet and it was selfish, but the longer it took her to realise that, the more time he could have with her. At least until he fucked up monumentally and everything fell apart. Or someone or something pushed them apart for whatever reason. He could see that happening to, see magic getting in the way of their lives for the rest of forever and he hated that thought. That they'd never be safe, never be able to have a normal life, even if it was with other people, because they'd constantly be plagued with things like hunters and psycho witches back from the dead. His eyes held Cassie's as she spoke. Faye. He suppressed an eyeroll.
"I don't like Faye. I never liked Faye."
"We need to get away." [because I couldn't help myself]
"We're the only sensible members of the coven. They'd collapse without us."
A pause.
"When do we leave?"
Send one of these in my askbox to see how my muse reacts
"Do you want to build a snowman?" “Everyone ends up alone.” "Stay close to me." "We need to get away." "This is all for you.” "How could you be so heartless?" "There’s gotta be another way out." “I’ve tried forever getting out on my own.” “I don’t wanna fight alone anymore.” “I never thought you would really go.” “I was being such a fool.” “But I can’t live without you.” “If I wanted to leave I would have left by now.” "Don’t let me down.” “And now I’m feeling stupid.” “I’ll only stay with you one more night.” “What’s that supposed to mean?” “Can’t take it no more.” “I used to pretend that I felt okay.” “I’ve failed you again.” “God knows that I tried…” “I was dreaming for so long.” "You are the piece of me I wish I didn’t need.” “If our love’s insanity, why are you my clarity?” "We both know how this ends." “This is not what I do.” “Is that alright?” “Am I even human?” "I’m a mess." "At least I’ve always been myself.” “No one knows my heart.” “I don’t know what I’m doing.” “There is something that you need to let me know.” “Be honest please.” “Say you’ll stay.” "I’ll look after you." “I wasn’t looking for this.” "Here’s my number." “Where do you think you’re going, baby?” “I missed you so bad.” "You see?" "Come on let’s go and play!" “Be my baby.” “Don’t you ever say I just walked away.” “I will always want you.” “I never meant to start a war.” “I just wanted you to let me in.” “I guess I should’ve let you win.” "You make me crazy from happiness." "You’re my prince from the fairy tale." "Where do I go if you leave?" "I was afraid you don’t care about me." “I can’t forget you.” “I’m your destiny.” “You are like frost.” “We just have to wait until the next life.” "We need to talk." “Where did I go wrong?” "I lost a friend." “If I don’t say this now I will surely break.” “I’m losing my control.” “What’s mine is yours to leave or take.” “You’ve begun to feel like home.” “If that’s what you want…” “But I’m only human!” “I bleed…” "I can do it!" “Don’t let them in.” “Let it go.” "We only have each other." “Okay, can I just, say something crazy?” "We are meant to be."
Sure there was sometimes in the circle where Cassie got really stressed and upset, and there was that one time she cried but there was Finals and bad things were happening, why wouldn’t she cry. Cassie was the neutral party as the leader, she didn’t power grab or try to keep everything together, she was Switzerland currently. She didn’t pay much attention to Adam now, he was with Diana they were going to live happily ever after and Cassie wasn’t included in his plans, she was fine with that staying away from him was good, being with Nick was good for her. She actually liked Nick too, which was why she was spending so much time with him, even if 95% of the time when she was hanging out with him he was working on some kind of vehicle.
”Then you must be a bad guy who puts on a nice act for me.”
Well he certainly wasn't the good guy. He wasn't Adam in all his chivalry and white-knight coming to the rescue with grand gestures and sweeping romanticism. But maybe he wasn't quite the bad guy, either. He wasn't the Hendersons, who would just as soon blow up a girl they liked as they would ask her out on a date. He wasn't Sean, full of good intentions but overbearing and annoying. He was just Nick, with walls that were twenty foot thick around him at all times and a penchant for saying the wrong thing, or for saying nothing at all. He wanted to light a cigarette but he knew the look Cassie would give him and he knew that he had grease all over his hands anyway.
"Maybe it's because I'm trying to take advantage of you."

Enjoy guys :)
[There was something about Nick. She would never truly know what it was, but there was something. Something that made him a sort of fascinating toy to Faye. Maybe it was the way he was so closed off to everyone in the world or maybe it was just that she couldn’t seem to get under his skin. Whatever it was though, it made her want him more and more.
Sometimes it was more of a lusty thing, and then other times it was more of an evil thing. She wanted to break him to force the soft, and vulnerable side of Nick out. It was something she had wanted for a long time, but had never truly gotten. If he was human things would’ve been a lot easier. By now he’d be totally wrecked, because she would have used her magic on him a long time ago. The thing was he wasn’t human he was a witch just like her.
That’s what made her angry most of the time. The fact that the one person she really wanted to play with and take for herself couldn’t be taken. Still, she would never give up on her goal. She wasn’t the type to ever back down from anything as long as she had a chance and she knew she did.
Even though Nick was like this most of the time she had seen times where he had been different. Where someone had given him a light that he had decided to open up to. There were those times where he actually seemed to have emotion. It was those times that made Faye keep going.
As she looked at Nick through her eyelashes her smile changed. Instead of being a soft, sweet, innocent smile it became an evil seductive smile. It was one of her signature looks and it got her into a lot of trouble. She watched as his eyes flicked over her, watching her carefully. Slowly, she moved towards Nick a little bit. Not too much, but still enough to send a message to him.]
"Hm… Are you sure about that? I can hate someone an awful lot you know."
[ Yes, there was no question about what Faye wanted. Or what she was up to, other than the very obvious why? This would not go well for her and she'd end up feeling snubbed and humiliated and not talking to him for weeks on end. Not that he minded that so much, Faye ignoring your existence was actually better than the alternative in most cases.
The alternative here being her attempting to seduce him. Though to what end he didn't know. Maybe she was just lonely, maybe she was horny, maybe both. Maybe she wanted something more and didn't want to have to magic it for once (unlikely). Or maybe she assumed that it was the way to get him to cave. To start showing anything other than his icy exterior.
She should know better than that. She was fire, he was ice, but he wasn't melting anytime soon. Mahogany hues held her gaze and he simply lifted a shoulder in a shrug, half-hearted and not caring in the slightest. ]
"I'm not interested."
[ But if there was one thing he knew would get her riled up enough to try something stupid, it was that. She hated being ignored, she hated when people didn't hold her as the center of their whole goddamn universe. Nick did not and he had no plans for that to change anytime soon. ]
"Go home, Faye. Find someone else to play this stupid game. "
[ He turned his back on her, making to leave. He didn't want any part in this. Not with whatever she was planning, not with her trying to break him down. She wasn't going to get anywhere, she'd go home disappointed. This way it meant he got to leave with his dignity intact, having not slept with her. Again. ]
Cassie was a leader of the coven, along with Diana and Faye, power shared equally among them and all. However, if Cassie were to be honest, she thought about running away quite often, being normal and never having to use her powers ever again, well she might use them here and there but not to save the world or destroy her father or anything like that. She could just be normal, live a normal life with some magic here and there, have kids, have grandkids, grow old and die. However, that little fairy tale was unlikely. The coven needed her and the power she inherited from Black John. She put her phone back in her pocket and got up from where she was sitting, walking over to Nick.
“I’m sure you’re not, she probably just wants to make sure you’re not a bad guy or I’m not gonna come home pregnant one day.” She shrugged.
Nick understood the need for the circle to exist, for them to all stay together, for them to have their meetings and their politics, but that didn't mean he had to care. He cared when people got hurt. He cared when Cassie got so stressed she looked ready to cry, but aside from that he didn't care about Faye's malicious grabbing for power, Diana's attempts to hold them all together, Adam's attempts to guilt him into doing more for the circle. No, he simply didn't care. He wiped his hands on his rag as she crossed the garage to him. He didn't much like the idea of meeting Cassie's mother in a formal way. He didn't make good impressions on parents. Or on anyone, really. He was far too stoic. Icy, even.
"What if I am a bad guy?"
Cassie Blake was spending her time currently with Nick Armstrong. Hanging around with him as he worked on a car which was while Cassie was on the sidelines, which was how they spent most of their times. Cassie was fine with it though, she kinda liked watching him work on cars. Cassie looked down at her phone with the unicorn cover to see a text from her mother, asking her something. She looked up at Nick and finally spoke.
“Oh I’m supposed to invite you to dinner tonight, my mother wants to talk with you for some reason.”
Nick was, as per usual, working in the Armstrong garage, doors thrown open so the whole street could see in. Not that it mattered, they were all circle members on this street, they were all family. The word even held distaste in his mind. He'd never asked to be part of their pack or supernatural teenage drama and he didn't care for his powers. But they needed him. Supposedly. He busied himself with the Mustang, ducking his head under the lid and fixing a loose bracket. He glanced sideways at Cassie as she spoke.
"Am I in trouble? Should I prepare myself for the third degree?"
“The only thing I have to believe —————”
Well what do you have to believe in anymore? The though just might be lost on you. However something isn’t, & that’s the look in your brothers eyes while you shake him around like something cheep, he’s scared. Hell, you would too. You never quite learned how to deal with your anger. But maybe, just maybe, God has forsaken us.
“Then prove it — Now.”
Believe what you want to believe. That's how it is. That's how it's always been. With him believing one thing and you thinking another. You're both headstrong. You're too similar. And you should have known what he would ask of you. So where's the prepared speech? The charming childhood stories? That's not you. It's not him either. So you push him away. Eyes narrow and hurt.
"I don't owe you shit. You left. You joined a fucking band of witch hunters."
Combining anger with apathy has always been your talent. And it's more likely to make him believe. Than a story about you hiding in his bed when the shouting from downstairs got to be too much.
{ His recollection seemed proof enough. And it only took her about two seconds to take off in his direction and throw her arms around his neck in a warm hug. }
“How? —- Oh my god I missed you.”
[ He honestly wasn't expecting it to be quite that easy. But he wasn't about to complain about it. Strong arms caught her, whisked her up in a loving embrace. ]
"I don't know. Oh, I missed you too."
