(News) Sia blesses us with new music - āAliveā is out!
Miss Furler has released some new music from her upcoming album This Is Acting.
How do The Harmoniacs feel? We are stocked! Sia is one of our favorites singers and her releasing new music makes us ecstatic.
First impressions wise, this is a hard pop beat with very powerful belts from the wigged singer. The lyrics are based around Sia being alive through the pain and trials and tribulations and that she should be grateful sheās still ābreathingā (a common motif in the song).

Favorite Songs: Froot, Happy, Blue, I Am Not A Robot, Starring Role, Shampain
Lower Chest (3.5/5): Able to project down to an F3, Marinaās lower register is strong and supported. It maintains a darker edge to it and can either be warm or cool based on the singerās discretion (see Happy).
Lower Middle/Modal (4.5/5): Easily the strongest part of Diamandisā voice. She is able to project here fully with a weighty tone and very consistent vibrato while maintaining good breath control and ease. (see bridge of Radioactive).
Upper Middle/Modal (3/5): Diamandis can hit soprano like notes due to her lightening her mix past D#5. Although this is true, it is often inconsistent though improving. Because she carries a lot of weight, this is often the hardest area of her voice to phrase in.
Upper Register (3.5/5): Diamandis has a very proficient head voice and falsetto. She is able to replicate different colors and textures while staying supported. This area of the voice is underused past F5 though, especially in a live setting.
Positives: Diamandis has an excellently connected voice, allowing her to switch between registers quickly and effortlessly (see State of Dreaming). She can also change the color and contouring of her voice to match the song she is singing. Sometimes she may layer her vocals to create a certain harmonic sound (see Hermit the Frog). Diamandis has a very warm and welcoming mix that translates throughout the entire voice.
Negatives: Diamandis has experienced improper treatment to her voice, causing it to get a rougher and biting sound to it that can be unpleasant to the ear at times. Her technique used to reach the extremities of her voice are also questionable. She has shown to have passagio issues around C#5, which is a note she tends to avoid.
Abel Tesfaye, who goes by the alias The Weeknd, has taken the second half of 2015 by storm.Ā
With the release of his hit songs, Canāt Feel My Face and The Hills, Tesfaye has slowly climbed his way to success. Here are just some of the records the artist has achieved the past few months alone.

Eyo everyone! We're getting closer to the most awaited time of the year...and no I'm not talking about Christmas, (although I love me some gifts, gurl!), I'm talking about the GRAMMY Awards, where we celebrate the mainstream trashĀ that occurred in the industry the whole year.
And so what time would be a better time to celebrate the amazing underrated artists?
5. Skylar Grey
You're high upon the tower, now don't look down...
You've probably heard of "Love The Way You Lie" by Rihanna & Eminem. Yeah, that hit song that smashed the charts for 7 weeks, highlighting the rapper's musical career.
Or did you not know who sang the chorus of Diddy's "Coming Home", another smash hit?
Well now you know, Skylar Grey is one of the most underrated artists at the hour, think of her like the daughter of Sia.
Her album "Don't Look Down" (released in 2013) received moderate success, the leading single "C'mon Let Me Ride", featuring Eminem, opened up Skylar's career to mainstream-ness, although she's still in the shadows of the mainstream figures.
4. BANKS
I can see you struggling, boy don't hurt your brain!
BANKS (aka Jillian Banks) is quite new to the industry, having only her debut album out -- "Goddess" -- BANKS explores dark subgenres of Electronica and Trip-hop (Brain; Goddess; Begging For Thread), whileĀ delving in intricate piano-powered ballads (Under The Table; Drowning); producing your whole album sounds quite tedious, but BANKS aced it!
Her music is an eclectic mix of electronica and haunting vocals that will send shivers down your spine.
3. Azealia Banks
Bitch the end of your lives are near! This shit be mine mine!
Azealia BanksĀ (aka my newest obsession)Ā is probably my favorite rapper out there at the moment. The witch AB has been in the industry for a few years, although she just achieved recognition upon the release of her independently-releasedĀ album -- "Broke With Expensive Taste".
The album includes themes regarding society, love, and the integration in the industry while staying real to the roots.
The selection of songs from the album ranges from electro-R&B "Desperado" to nu-metal "Yung Rapunxel" (which is a personal favorite).
She's the Queen of Alternative Rap, hands down!
2. Emilie Autumn
I want to mix our blood and put it in the ground, so you can never leave!
Emilie AutumnĀ is one of the most cryptic, mysterious and artistic figures of the underdog-industry.
Emilie's discography is quite impressive, spanning over a decade, it includes EPs, charity singles, covers of well-known hits (like Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Bohemian Rhapsody), and also 3 studio albums.
Emilie's life itself is worthy of a book -- oh wait, she already wrote an auto-biography "The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls". Now I'm not going to delve into that since she deserves her own separate review...she's simply amazing!Ā
"Fight Like A Girl"Ā (conceptual album based on her book) explores dark genres of Industrial with Victorian-tints -- "Time for Tea";Ā "Opheliac"Ā includes dark heavy-metal songs, while also touching on the soft side with medieval-sounding ballads like "Marry Me".
While she might not appeal to everyone, Emilie's music slays the inner heavy metal lover out of everyone.
1. Marina Diamandis (aka Marina and The DiamondsĀ <- click this)
I've been saving all my summers for you, like FROOT!
Finally we arrive at the #1 most underrated artist -- the absolute queen and the goddess of my universe (I'll stop fangirling now) -- Marina! (and the Diamonds, yes she is not a band).
Marina is an amazing lyricist, and the concepts behind her albums are absolutely fascinating. With two past eras (yes, it is not JUST an album, it is a whole experience, an era), and the third one coming in April 2015, Marina continues to delight us with meaningful lyrics and out-of-this-world beats.
"The Family Jewels", her debut album, is about her relationship with society, family, and teenagehood in general. It contains themes that every teenager can relate to -- depression, striving to be the best, questioning the society.
"Electra Heart", is a concept album, it revolves around the character created by her -- Electra Heart;Ā Marina created 11 YouTube parts (videos) of Electra's life-story, making it a whole experience aside from the actual album, which has love as the main theme -- love in any way that can be experienced -- jealousy, heartbreaking, betrayal, fear.
