Rosie smiled briefly at her, â I donât think we can all be a better person than anyone. I mean donât get me wrong. I would love a small break, but I am fine with barely any.âÂ
Harmony shrugged. âI dunno.â She was pretty sure many people were better than her. âIâm not really the.. working type.â It felt spoiled to say out loud but whatever.
rosielaughlinâ:
She chuckled, â Tell that to my boss. Iâm kidding Laurenâs great, Iâm okay without having a big break.âÂ
Harmony chuckled. âWell, that makes you a better person than I am.â Though honestly her whole life was one big break and she liked it that way, thank you very much.
rosielaughlinâ:
She nodded, â You could definitely say that.âÂ
âSounds like you need a break.â

âMy sister..she was killed by Daisy around this time.â
"oh... Fuck me and and my big mouth..I'm sorry."
rosielaughlinâ:
âIÂ definitely could, thank you so much.â She told her before taking the cup from them.Â
She chuckled. âLong day?â

âGod, I love you.â Jess smiled, taking a sip. âI am just amazed how many people are coming into town and staying at the B & B. I know the Christmas market is cute but they know someone usually dies, donât they?â
âYou know, I think every year everyone suddenly develops collective amnesia, to be perfectly honest with you.â Harmony laughed. âOr maybe they think itâs being blown out of proportion.â

Jess knew that she was supposed to be working on drinking less but with the holidays coming up, she was pretty sure that wasnât going to happen.  âThanks.â She smiled softly.  âShould I even ask what it is?â
âA double, so youâre welcome.â Harmony chuckled. âLong day?â

Name: Harmony Maxwell Age: 28 Sexuality: Pansexual Gender: Female Portrayed By: Alycia Debnam-Carey Availability: Closed
âI love it here. Oh, yeah, but I wish people would stop dying.â
â Background
It isnât easy being taken away from your family at the age of ten. Itâs something that haunts Harmony every day of her life, though she was adopted when she was thirteen by the Maxwell family (they had adopted another girl a few years ago, who was eight by this time) and⌠theyâre lovely. They are, and Harmony doesnât like to feel ungrateful but she wishes she could just be normal. Sheâs always missed her mother and has tried to sneak back there a few times since being taken away (mostly while she was still in the system, and once when the Maxwells took her home). Harmony didnât want a new family, she was still holding onto her old one. Despite her mother having been a serious drug user and not really being able to care for her. Little Harmony had just been worried that her mother would die without her help but she soon settled in well enough, bonding with her adopted siblings, John (who theyâd adopted first, years ago), and eight-year-old Adriana.
The Maxwell family lived in a large farmhouse in the countryside, which Harmony thought was nice enough. Large, showed they had money, but it was slap bang in the middle of nowhere and she hated that. Harmony wanted to move to the city, wanted a big group of friends, wanted to be normal. She didnât like travelling hours on a little bus just to get to school in a town nearby. Her sister was home-schooled and Harmony didnât understand how Adriana could stand it. They were pretty different, the two of them, despite the bond they managed to grow. Adriana was quiet and content with her life, liked books and trees, and Harmony was a big city girl at heart. John was the one who kept the peace between them so when he moved out after joining the police force, it was hard. It was even harder when he died in a car crash. The perfect family life was shattered and their parents fought constantly and Harmony was worried they would split up and then what would happen? But they sat the girls down one day, explained how being in this house was too hard for them, and told them they were moving away for a fresh start.
â Back to Baberton
Harmony loved Baberton. It wasnât the biggest place she would have chosen to live but it was much better than a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere. There was a school, cafes, restaurants, shops, etc. all within walking distance! It was like a dream and Harmony took to it right away. She made a bunch of friends pretty easily when she enrolled in college, likely due to the fact sheâs always been very social and confident despite how she sometimes feels inside in regards to the whole adopted thing. She can be a little bit moody some days, likes to complain about things, and sheâs prone to being self absorbed, but people seem to like her anyway. Something that she feels annoys her sister but itâs not like she can help it, right? Adriana just needs to loosen up a bit, put herself out there.
When her sister turned seventeen, she announced that she was pregnant, which shocked Harmony. Not to mention their parents! Adriana wanted to give the baby up for adoption, which made Harmony angry and she was glad when Adriana changed her mind and decided to keep baby Ana, though she doesnât realise that itâs because she was intimidated by Harmony. Sheâs pretty interested in finding out who the father of the baby is and doesnât believe that Adriana doesnât remember but she tries to be subtle about it so as not to upset their parents, who are still adjusting to this whole thing.
Currently, Harmony is still attending the local college (her parents have this rule that she doesnât have to pay rent as long as she is in school and the idea of a job is less than appealing). Sheâs studying a variety of different things but mostly focuses on drama and journalism, which have always been her two best subjects.
â Whatâs Her Secret?
Often pretends that Ana is her baby, not Adrianaâs. Adriana often leaves Ana with Harmony while sheâs out job hunting or whatever she does and Harmony loves that little girl, just like she loves her own. More than just a niece. She plays with her, takes her for walks. She loves taking her out and getting attention from people in the park or the shopping centre. Harmony doesnât want Ana to grow up feeling unloved or rejected the way she did (her own mother could have fought for her, right?!). Honestly, some days she feels like a better mother than Adriana but thatâs not something she can say out loud, is it?
Was on the phone with John at the time of his car crash and feels horribly responsible for his death. Sheâd been ranting about how unfair it was that their parents didnât listen to her needs (living in the city, having a social life etc) and the line went dead. Harmony knows that John should have known better than to talk on the phone and drive but if she hadnât been distracting him, he never would have crashed. She never told anyone it was her on the phone (sheâd been in town, in a phone box, not at the house) and the guilt has been eating her up inside ever since.

âNah, itâs cool, I got cash to blow.â She chuckled, ordering them both tequila. âHopefully thisâll shake us up a bit.â Harmony joked.
