Where have I been

I graduated university in May, traveled to California the same month, visited family in Guanajuato in July, applied to jobs for months, started working in October, went to see Grandma in Las Vegas in December, and that is all.

I’ve also been spending my spring break reading Ted Chiang’s short stories in Stories of Your Life and Others. I cannot believe that I have never heard of Chiang before, his stories are incredible as they each leave me mind blown. I definitely recommend if you enjoy science fiction and perplexing endings!

Happy 2017!

Can’t believe I’ve been on tumblr for 7 years now, I remember 14 year old me wanting to see collective images from The Sartorialist and making this tumblr to share my favorite of his street style photographs. It’s been amazing, I’ve met so many people so alike me and that have helped me not feel like I had a strange aesthetic taste while I was growing up in the suburbs of Texas.

I have been very inconsistent with Rhineland these past few years as I grew tired of seeing online fashion, probably due to finally finding my own personal style I had dreamed of that I can now afford. So I have decided to make Rhineland into a collection of my personal photographs so I can get back into my many cameras and fulfill my New Years resolution to be more adventurous and open about myself. I want to see my own pictures on here, instead of me continuing to reblog pictures of people I have awed while not attempting to enjoy my life and assuming that I am incapable of making my own content to aw. But I believe I can. Here’s to fulfilling my resolution and making 2017 a year of change, as well as for all of you!
