Theory:
I think that after Finn and Lexa’s deaths Clarke kind of feels like everyone she gets close to, everyone she loves, dies. Maybe through Madi, Lexa will give Clarke her blessing to move on and be happy again. With Lexa’s blessing, maybe Clarke will get the closure that she needs and absolve herself of the guilt that’s followed her since Lexa’s death. Maybe that’s how Bellarke will happen.
This would actually be such a good way for Bellarke to happen though. We obviously see that Clarke is still grieving over Lexa and blames herself for her death in season 5. Now imagine if she and Lexa could have one final conversation through Madi telling Clarke that it’s ok, and Lexa is at peace with everything that happened. It would be a really beautiful moment for anyone who watches the show, especially Clexas, but also is a good way to show Clarke being confronted by the fact that her guilt from past relationships has been relieved and she can be with Bellamy now. If something like this did happen Bellamy would probably still be with Echo and we could see Clarke struggling over that. So yeah, I really hope this theory happens.
I loved Emori in this episode.
Season 5 Bellamy is my favorite Bellamy and you can’t change my mind
Why, might you ask?
Well, allow me to name a few reasons here:
1. He wears his guilt for all of the shitty things he did in the past on his sleeve like a badge of honor
2. He t h i n k s before he r e a c t s
3. He looks to the bigger picture before making any decision (i.e. what keeps humanity going? hint: it’s not war @Octavia)
4. He uses logic and t h i n k s
5. He knows what he’s done and where he’s come from, and he understands that he’s in no position to judge or hold others to a standard that he, himself, could not have lived up to in the past (**coughs** anyone remember season 3? maybe let’s not **coughs**)
6. He fucking t H I N K S LOGICALLY
7. He maintains his undying loyalty to those he loves
8. He looks like tHIS
I could literally write a dissertation on this don’t @ me
Madi: *grabs bellamy by the hand and leads him to clarke*
Echo: I’m coming too
Madi: I’m sorry this is a blakes only event go home
The 100
Season 5 Bellarke was essantially the story of a divorced couple forced to work with each other and pretend everything is fine despite lingering feelings. The kids are all upset at the mom prioritizing her new child, and Echo is the step mom trying too hard to fill the void. Miller rebelled so much he decided to go live with his aunt Octavia.
