Welcome!

Hi all! I'm Lizzy (she/her), and I'm a Public Historian with a focus on military history during the WWII Era. I've been wanting to make a blog to post and reblog historical content for awhile, and I've finally done it!

I love to yap about WWII history, WWII media, and answer questions in way too much depth. What better place for that than tumblr, right?

What is Public History?

Public History is the "front-facing" field of history. In other words, we're the people communicating history to the general public. Most often, public historians are employed in museums and at historic sites, but public historians can work in corporate settings, too.

My training is primarily in museum education, so I'm in the museum sector!

Ground attack Spitfire Mk. XVI. Clipped wings improved low altitude manoeuvrability. TE311 was manufactured at Castle Bromwich, West Midlands on 8 June 1945. It was used mainly as a pilot trainer. Now operated by the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
