maybe the reason we cheered for the bad guys, wanted the redemption, was because we too often saw ourselves in their violence. we just want to be told we are okay. we can still be good in the end after a lifetime of being expected to be evil. there's always a last chance. maybe one day we'll all get to be the good guys.

hey sorry this is kinda like a long hiatus! we might be done with horoscope poetry for we're still working on other things. for instance, we're working on a short film right now that is in a similar style to our poetry!

i am so sick of the skinny white poet girl narrative. skinny white poet girl is beautiful because she suffers- but not in an unattractive way. skinny white poet girl starves herself- but we take her troubles and turn them into inspiration for our own self-hatred. skinny white poet girl is the only kind of poet. sickly in an appealing way, broken in the sense that you don’t fix it, you just want to get your hands on it and tear it down more, finish the job. skinny white poet girl writes poetry about her Great Love that has left her and we all pretend that we are that Love. skinny white poet girl is the only kind of poet. she colours in the skies maroon and mauve because she’s forgotten all the Happy colours, even though her favourite colour has always been orange and most of her clothes are tan and her eyes are bright blue because skinny white poet girl has swallowed all the oceans and that’s why she cries so often. skinny white poet girl is beautiful for existing and we are proud of everything she has accomplished. but we are proud only of skinny white poet girl. skinny white poet girl is the only kind of poet. anything else is lying by omission. you have curves in bad places and your heart aches most of the time and we love your poetry? lying by omission. you have dark skin and ashy elbows and everything comes out backwards and we love your poetry? lying by omission. you are the boy who cried wolf and you cannot cease the love falling out of your lips and we love your poetry? lying by omission.

dear capricorn, i crave the fingertips interlaced with mine, a heart beat stronger than i ever imagined, the words said in confedentiality with such adoration. but my head won't wrap itself around this forein concept of devotion even when it seems like everything is sparkling like fireworks and lightning and thunder and everything i've ever been afraid of. i don't know how it's supposed to feel, i don't understand if this is love or if i'm confused or if i'm doing it right because i really don't feel like i'm doing this right. i just don't want to dissapoint you. i love you (i think).

dear libra, i like to pretend that i'm the big-hearted superhero and you are the comically sweet sidekick. well, we share the work, don't worry, i just- you know, i have the hair and i- nevermind, you get the picture. but sometimes when i wear these rainboots and i slosh through unexpected downpour (why am i crying why am i crying) and i stare at my hands and hate the way you can see the blood in them, you are the one saving the day. you pull this mess away from me and tell me eventually the clouds will vanish and i will be able to breathe again. but sometimes i want to ruin the world (i don't care anymore i don't have room to) and hurt my own heart with double-edged blades that always end up hurting you too, you get the bandages. sometimes i can't help but be the antagonist. you never falter.
