So a friend of mine posted something about the Chick-Fil-A issue...

A friend of mine recently posted something on his Facebook about the events in the wake of the Chick-Fil-A dilemma.  If you would like me to post a link to what I am talking about, let me know in my inbox.  Here is my response to what he was saying on his Facebook post with a little more added in for the purpose of my Tumblr.

I've recently been shocked with the way that people have been handling the situation. I can't believe that pro-gay advocates and groups are handling it the way that they are and I also can't believe that people are comparing it to segregation and acts of the '50s and '60s. Clearly segregation and gay marriage are two completely different things, but similar in the fact that they both are events that warrant people standing up for what they believe in. If people don't believe in the words of one CEO of the company than they just shouldn't eat there or purchase products from said company. The immaturity seen in such useless gestures with those that are against the CEO is just that, useless. 

Personally, I believe that marriage is between a man and woman, and this is just my opinion.  I don't understand the people that are constantly fighting side vs. side about a social issue such as gay marriage.  People that do not agree with me and that are on the opposite side as me for the purpose of this subject are harsh to the opinion that is my own and others that agree with me.  They are promoting the same hate that they may  "think" that someone with the same opinion as me is promoting.  Opinions are opinions and thats what matters.

Back to the central focus of Chick-Fil-A, its a delicious restaurant that my father introduced me to when I was very young.  I have enjoyed going and getting chicken sandwiches and milkshakes there and I will continue to do so.  I also have seen stories about the chicken that Chick-Fil-A uses and how the chickens, "... have been observed sexually mounting other cocks... as early as 1764..."  You have got to be kidding me with this?  What does this have to do with anything dealing with the clientele of the establishment?

All in all, I will never stop eating from Chick-Fil-A and I think that's the most important.  I love their chicken sandwiches and milkshakes and nuggets, mmmmm delicious!

Wow, I cannot believe this article that I just read from Yahoo news.  This is incredible.  Policies and such that are in place around the world are uncanny in instances such as this. I am extremely surprised that government is not as strong as it is in America, that this crap happens.  We need to get our shit straight here first, then maybe we can take on other countries and get their shit straight too.  This struck my interest because I recently reported on a Child Soldiers Rally for my newspaper.

Finally.  I most definitely feel like this took way too long, but hey.  I cannot believe justice is finally being served.  Who does this guy Mix, really think he is?  It is astonishing to me how someone can just get away with something like this.  Could be sued on some type of intrusion claim for going in a deleting text messages?  Were they his own text messages?  This article doesnt really say much about the nature of the text messages, Ill have to do more research, I just wanted to react right away.  PLUS!  The artcie does not say what his title was with BP, even if he had one with BP.  Lost.  Hrmph.

Cant say I told you so to be completely honest.  I regret to admit that I actually entertained the idea of supporting him.  Whatever.  His campaign has been on a steady down slope ever since I would say .. a couple of months ago.  Let's see what happens but for now .. hes suspENDed! BAM.

If you dont vote, you have nothing to say.  Educate yourselves with what is going on and then you can say something.  I cant understand the people who sit back and talk a whole bunch of crap.  I know that Tumblr really isnt the BEST platform to talk about politics, but its somewhere and you can actually learn a lot by talking with people on here.  I personally feel that there are a lot more liberals on Tumblr, which seems to be a given (but its my personal opinion), but make sure that you go outside of Tumblr and use credited websites and watch a news broadcast once in a while!

Although, I would be remiss not to add that I think Ron Swanson would be deeply insulted to be compared to any politician, let alone a republican.  Ron is an actual libertarian, unlike his buddy Paul.

the mesa, az debate: a sum.

overall i really think the debate was tense.. which is what i love.  I always tell my friend that I love the tense scenes in Person of Interest the best.. because its also very valid and true.  I dont know, i just seem to have those tendencies.

So lets get back to the point.. how do you guys feel about the debate?  If I had to say a few things i would say the following:

-Romney won in my opinion.  I read on twitter that someone gave him a B- but I think maybe a B+ is a little more valid.  Maybe not an A, but I think he did extremely well defending points and staying on task.  He represented what was important and I dont want to say restored a confidence in America, but pointed at the positives.

-Santorum reeeeeally failed miserably in my opinion.  He was not well-received by the crowd and brought up somethings that were invalid.  In my opinion, he didnt do anything that was going to make his campaign more full of substance.  Everyone did a great job making him dig his own whole deeper and deeper.

-Gingrich was okay and I think he was probably second place to Romney in the debate.  I know that he really is so intelligent but I really hate him for some reason.  I think he wants to do too much right out of the gate.  Obviously there is a lot that needs to be done, but things need to be tackled one at a time, not full-on as soon as he gets to office.  Maybe he didnt get enough airtime?  I hear someone say that.

-Paul.....?  I really think hes the biggest joke.  I dont really have anything to say because every single time he answers a question he laughs and makes it more of a joke.

I wholeheartedly agree that OBVIOUSLY government needs change, but we need to evaluate whats most important first.. Newt's putting too much on his plate.
