It's Just Something About That Boy
If Freya was being completely honest, she was definitely happy that the three of them could get along. At least it seemed that all three of them got along. She knew that she got along with both Jamie and Trevor, but she wasn’t so sure if Jamie and Trevor got along without her. She wasn’t sure if they had a secret rivalry or something going on because right now with all of them hanging out it didn’t seem to be any bad vibes going around so Freya definitely thought everything was fine. If anything was wrong she would definitely want either of them to tell her instead of just letting her wonder. So by neither of them not saying anything about anything she thought it was all good.
Freya noticed everything Trevor did. Being late to her shows and hardly coming, she noticed it. She’d only rarely ask him why and he’d always reply with ‘I’m sorry babe, I was busy, I’ll be there next time.’ and she’d receive a kiss on the cheek and that was that. Freya believed him every time he said it even though it was always said to her and she never minded or thought anything about it. She believed Trevor was busy and would come eventually and not be late. As for the stuff he said , Freya just thought that he was joking and didn’t mean it intentionally. Even though he most certainly did.
She shot a quick smile at Jamie. “You don’t have to answer him, but thanks.” She said to him before being interrupted at the last word by Trevor. “It’s okay to say she’s gained at least twenty pounds, we’re all friends here.” Trevor grinned. “And don’t you agree she should do something else with….” He motioned to her whole body/face. “This.” He grinned and Freya pressed a small kiss to Trevor’s jaw line. “Oh shut up.” She rolled her eyes. “No, you shut.” He kissed her cheek and looked back up at Jamie. “So, how ‘bout it? Don’t you agree?”
He certainly was happy that the three of them could get along on some kind of level, even if it was only ever on the outside. When Freya was around they all got along fine, occasionally joking around with each other but once she left the room, things seemed to go silent. His relationship with Trevor was strained and it was clear that the other male felt it too. The two simply didn’t get along too well. Everything was slightly awkward between them and the way he treated Freya just rubbed Jamie in the wrong way.
Perhaps it was because they had been in a relationship previously, but Jamie really doubted it. Those feelings that he had once had for Freya burnt dimly, a light that was fading fast but still existent. The way that he treated Freya and acted towards her made him anger, see red and clench his fists. Arriving late to shows, acting so nonchalant around the two of them. Shows that he had arrived early to with his date or band, only to watch Freya watch around for Trevor. Waiting for someone that might not arrive, it made him feel for her. He wanted nothing more than to go over and hug her, to take her into the event but they weren’t on talking terms so he simply walked away.
Jamies eyebrow rose as Trevor continued speaking, struggling to keep up the calm facade as he spoke about Freya in a way that he’d only seen in the hate comments on the internet. How could Freya allow him to say these things about her, doesn’t it hurt her? Jamie couldn’t read Freya, he couldn’t understand if she was hurting. He smiled back at her before sighing slightly as Trevor interrupted her. “But we’re not all friends here” Jamie thought in his head, following Trevors train of thought. He couldn’t imagine saying such words to Freya. Jamie simply shook his head, “Nah man, I seriously think she looks fine”. He grinned across at the couple, feeling a sickness spreading through his body.
