Hello, I’m Jarishka Pardillo Navales. I was born on September 11, 1998. I live in Bonifacio St., North Poblacion City of Naga, Cebu. I am now 18 years old. I’m currently studying Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy here in SouthWestern University. My hobbies are reading wattpad stories, listening to music and watch movie series. My favorite author in wattpad world is Jonaxx she makes the story so real that I’m always in love with all the characters that she made. My favorite movie series is Sherlock Holmes.

Okay, I think that’s enough for an introduction. Now, let’s talk about my family. Well, obviously I do have a mother and a father. My mother’s name is Arlinda Navales and father’s is Primo Navales Jr. I have four older brothers and yes, I am the rose among the thorns. Their name’s are; Jayrvie, Glenville, Clefford and Jomari. Three of them are already working and the one left is now in his 4th year college taking up Special Education.

And about my friends, I have this group called the “Bff5evah” when I was in highschool and I also have this group called “Friendship” now in college. I am forever grateful to God for giving me such an amazing friends like them.

Passion

ICT is interesting but you need to have good analysis and must be a logical person because ICT is more in the computer.

And you must love ICT because to be honest ICT is not an easy field and if you’re not passionate to learn more about it you’ll have a long time understanding ICT.

Can’t live without you

We have become a society that is totally dependent on communication devices to make our world go round. We have technology today that allows us to keep in almost constant contact with one another. We communicate through cell phones that use a network of specialized base stations called cell sites, but many people now are using cell and mobile phones that use a satellite signal for their connection. The phone, TV, personal computer and Internet have found revolutionary ways to connect people, entertain them and empower them. But nothing has matched the seismic cultural shift created by the cell phone, with its ability to connect and deliver content virtually anywhere, anytime. Although most of us have grown familiar with cell phones during the past 10 years, we often don’t realize how much our world has been transformed by the little device in our pockets and purses.

ICT: How important is it?

Information and Communication Technologies or ICT is constantly use now by many. People see ICT playing a big role now in our lives especially in the way we communicate, learn and live.

The people who sees the importance and usefulness of this are the students. This help them to explore more about technologies. Moreover, the role of ICTs contribute to the educational aspects of society in a way that it gives easier and more access to information and knowledge. Wider access to such lead to better quality of learning and even better quality of teaching by facilitators or teachers.

With all the advancements the world has achieved, it is evident how vital ICT is. UNESCO takes a comprehensice approach to this. It is through the Organization’s Intersectoral Platform that it focuses on the joint work of the Communication and Information, Education and Science Sectors where the issues of access, inclusion, equity and quality in education can be addressed. It is only right to preserve and retain ICT globally especially with the fact that the progress of science and technology isn't stopping. ICT and worldwide advancements are definitely interrelated. Basically, Information and Communication Technologies are a big part not only for society as a whole but for our individual lives as well.
