Holy shit this is amazing. An interactive, live action video game where the goal is to escape the alien infested ship.

How cool was that? A few months ago Realm Pictures made quite the impression on youtube. The “First Level” video currently has 8,433,819 views. Level 2 will probably see the same level of popularity. 

Now, Realm Pictures is kicking it up to the next level. They’ve started a Kickstarter campaign to expand the concept further. You can watch “Dave the Director” do his pitch here. It’s an interesting concept for sure that will probably see plenty of success.

Captured Lightning

This is really cool! It’s called Lichtenberg Figures. Named after German physicist Georg Christoph Lichtenberg who discovered these figures.

Two-dimensional (2D) Lichtenberg figures can be produced by placing a sharp-pointed needle perpendicular to the surface of a non-conducting plate, such as of resin, ebonite, or glass. The point is positioned very near or contacting the plate. A source of high voltage, such as a Leyden jar (a type of capacitor) or astatic electricity generator, is applied to the needle, typically through a spark gap. This creates a sudden, small electrical discharge along the surface of the plate. This deposits stranded areas of charge onto the surface of the plate.
