With all this talk about ICE in the US I was wondering if there was, if any, a Canadian equivalent? Or at least, if you know (how to get info on) how asylum seekers are handled in Canada?
Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) exists.
They are the branch of police responsible for deporting immigrants or refugees, and they have done this.
Asylum seekers won’t be deported for being in Canada. They will get a hearing, but if the hearing rejects them they will be deported, and immigrants who are living here without a pass from the immigration hearing could also be deported if anyone tips off their whereabouts to the CBSA. The Trudeau government wants those seeking asylum from the USA to be deported without a hearing.

The CBSA is actually incredibly overworked and 100% does not have the budget to go after people living here illegally but committing no other crimes. Their focus is on those living here illegally who happen to also be felons, and deporting the to make Canada a safer place. If you or your family are peaceful and just seeking a better life, the CBSA will leave you alone. Just sayin'.
