When the elevator shuddered and came to a halt, but the doors didn’t open, Tabitha knew that something was wrong. She leans against the wall grinning, "There's a few things I could think of to pass the time," She arches her eyebrow and winks before laughing, "But let's settle for learning more about each other." Hannah crosses her arms. "What's your family like? I've told you about mine," Hannah blushes, "I mean if you want to you don't have to tell me about yours if you don't want to of course, I don't want you to feel on the spot or uncomfortable." Hannah clears her throat, "I'm rambling, I'm going to stop now."

“Are you sure? I really don’t mind.” After all, now that she knew the title of the book, she could just get her parents to buy it for her. Despite the wealth of their family, Tabitha wasn’t your typical stuck up rich kid. She tried not to flaunt her money, and instead just wanted fit in - make friends with people who liked her, rather than who liked the money. As the book fell, Tabitha bent down to grab it, yet as she did, so did Hannah, and the two knocked into each other. It caused her to fall down, a giggle leaving her lips at just how clumsy she had been. “I’m sorry…are you…are you alright?”

“I’m fine, how about you?” Hannah blushes putting the book to the side. She stands up and pulls the other girl to her feet before bending down to grab the book again. She blushes holding the book in her hands a second before putting it back on the shelf. “I’m so sorry about that….and in response to your earlier question, before I accidentally headbutted you,” she blushes deeper before clearing her throat, “it really is fine, I’ll use any excuse to read more books.” She tucks a lock of her hair behind her ear before continuing, “My brother Cass read to me and tell me stories all the time growing up and I love books.” A soft smile lights up her face, “Jimmy on the other hand teases me for my love of stories but I know he’s just covering up the fact he’s just as much a nerd as us.” She snaps out of her reverie and blushes again, “sorry you probably don’t want to hear me babling on about my family since we just met.” She sticks out her hand carefully, “ I’m Hannah Kaiser.”

tabitha didn’t spend much of her time in the library. whilst she adored books, usually when she wanted one, her parents would buy it for her. they had always encouraged her to read - say it would open her mind up to a whole new world, and keep her creative even after the imagination that came with childhood faded away. but she had been recommended a book, and she couldn’t for the life of her remember it’s title, only it’s author. so, here she was, eyes scanning the shelves as she searched for the author, and then for the familiar name of the book. a smile lit up her features when she found it, and reached for it, only to find that someone else had the same idea as her, and their hands brushed. blushing, tabitha pulled back, eyes widening at the sight of the beautiful girl. “s-sorry.” she stuttered. “you can take it. i’ll order it in or…something.” @thekaisers

“No…no…it’s fine,” Hannah blushes looking down and biting her lip. She nervously runs her fingers through her hair. “I’m always in here so I’m fine grabbing a different book and waiting for you to finish.” She takes a deep breath before looking up at the girls face and freezing up.Shit she’s really fucking cute. Hannah thinks staring open mouthed at the girl for half a minute before snapping her jaw shut, her cheeks turning scarlet. “Oh…uh….were are my….um….. my manners,” Hannah’s blush deepens as she clears her throat. She sticks her hand out for a handshake knocking a book off the shelf. It lands on the other girls feet and Hannah lets out a squeak, “Oh my god I’m so sorry,” Hannah yelps as she bends down to pick it up.
