As someone who grew up enthralled by all the legendary rq fanart out there but without quite enough of the skill to make my own yet (I was in my glorified stick figure era) this is truly the best compliment I could receive 😭

I repainted one of my first ever watercolor paintings from age 12!

Red Queen was my favorite series in 6th grade, I still have the dozens of drawings in my closet. And now my sister is finally old enough to read it! She's already obsessed and I'm so grateful to be reliving it all again through her, I think it's the most special experience we could share 💙

Now whenever I see art of maven, he looks >25. When I was 12 I wasn't annoyed but now I'm 17 like maven and??? He should be drawn like the scared little boy he is 😤 so I took matters into my own hands 😊

On the other hand I'm shocked to see how far I've come in 5 years! That was literally my second watercolor painting ever 🥺 I'm dying at that "blending" technique I was using and don't even get me started on those dead colors 😅 Today I'm proud to be confident in my own style but I could never be where I am today without her 💙

That felix piece is also really special to me because I went a bit outside my comfort zone with my artstyle and in the end I was obsessed! It taught me not to be afraid of trying new things, so I'm constantly experimenting with my style and never letting it stay stagnant. (I'm seeing skz this week so I might try to sell some prints!)

At the concert I gave these drawings and some letters to the girls!!! I hope they love them 😭 the entire night was a fever dream, they are truly supernatural 🌌🌟 I love their motto "rapping in a skirt" because they really proved how women don't need to be more masculine to be powerful. They are legendary rappers without fitting the stereotype at all. They're building up an empire and one day I know I'll have been lucky to see them on the come up.
