((Oh man how old is this ask? Sorry anon but I lost the muse long ago, just came on for the anniversary of Undertale haha. That being said happy birthday Undertale, we had some good and bad times, but mostly good!))

Hearing the child's soft foot steps behind him, Asgore slowly rose from the withered garden. He knew who it was, and he doubted he tried to find the truth out, as to how to escape the underground. The tyrant kept his back to the child as he spoke.
“You didn't head my warnings child. I told you to run, to hide, to find the a truth-” He paused, lowering and shaking his head slowly. “I guess it’s always meant to end like this.”

“Where’s your annoying human sibling, Chara at anyways?” He asked, playfully ruffling the kids head with his claw.
"Anything I can do for you today, my darling? I don't have any plans."
Whilst the Asriel and Chara played in garden, Asgore sat in his study attending to his kingly duty as drawl as it was. His concentration only broken by his dear wife’s words. He rose his head to meet her gaze. “Nothing at the moment, Tori-” He paused standing, and coming around to meet her.
“But we can think of something.” He softly spoke, tired of the paper work that stacked on his desk.
“You look exhausted, Gorey. Honestly, how do you manage to keep yourself from lighting that migraine-inducing paperwork on fire?”
*Toriel gently set her hands on Asgore’s shoulders, and started gently massaging them with her fingers.*
He let out a soft sigh, relaxing into tender touch. “Hmm, I like the way you think, dear.~” He replied, gently placing his own claw on hers. He swept away the stack of paperwork into the bin, engulfing them with a flick of his claws.
He turned back to Toriel looking happier then before. “Now we’re both free to do as we like.” He said, placing his claws on her shoulder.
