It had been a good ten months or so since Ashton had actually been on tour and in that time, he’d been focusing a lot more on his relationship with Kristen. Getting to spend most of his time with her, even getting to the point where they moved in together. At this point, he couldn’t see his life without her and he didn’t want to. She was the one for him, there was no doubt about that.

This vacation was the perfect opportunity to pop the question. Where better to propose than on a beautiful island? “I like to believe every hike will be the best one yet but I have a feeling this one might be extra special.” He smiled at her, hoping to dear god that he wasn’t being too suspicious. “Because, it’s the perfect way to end it. We can soak it all up and be alone away from everyone because we know none of these lame ones are going to bothered to follow us,” he held his hand out for her to take. “Come on. Let’s get out of here before Calum or someone starts bugging us.”

"Extra special, huh?" she questioned with a raise of her brow and an coy smile, "If it means I get ice cream at the end of this then it better be." Ashton's positivity and outlook on life was one of the reasons why she had fallen so hard for him. He was such a good and caring person, someone who understood her and motivated her to be the best person she could be. She could never understand why someone like him had shown interest in someone like her but she would never question it because at the end of the day, she had him and he had her. They weren't going anywhere.

Grabbing his hand, Kristen threw on her sunglasses and let out a soft laugh at the mention of Calum or someone else. "He's been really weird today. Michael and Luke too. I mean, your band is always weird but they're more weird than usual. Is it because we're leaving soon?" Ever since she had woken up and made her way to the main house where they all ate and spent some time together, the guys, especially Calum, had been really secretative but sly about everything that day. The only guy that had seem normal was Ashton but he was always the calm one out of all of them so she wasn't bothered. "But regardless, I'm really sad to leave. It's been really nice hanging with everyone."

There was no doubt in Ashton’s mind that Kristen was the perfect girl for him. They were so similar yet so different but it was a good balance. Before she came along, he never thought it was possible to fall head over heels for someone like everyone always talked about but she had him completely smitten from the get go. He loved her so damn much and decided he wasn’t going to leave for another tour without doing something.

He was going to ask her to marry him. For the past few weeks he’d lowkey been trying to plan it and now it was all set in motion. He’d arranged for the two of them to go hiking. They were on vacation too so it was the perfect time. “You ready, Kristen?” He asked, making one final check that he had all the essentials especially that one major thing he was going to need - the ring. It was tucked safely in his pocket so he couldn’t lose it. “You know, I think this one might end up our best hike yet.”

Being on vacation with her favourite people in the world, she was having the time of her life with the band, the girls, and even the little ones that she was absolutely smitten with because they were so freaking adorable. One thing she did enjoy more than anything however, was spending time with Ash before he left for tour. Kristen knew she was going to miss him like crazy which was why she was glad they did this vacation thing with everybody.

"You always say that!" Kristen called out from the bathroom, putting her hair up in a ponytail. "I'll be right there!" One thing she loved about Ash was that they were quite similar. They loved going on adventures so hiking definitely made the list of things to do in the Exumas. Making her way out to their room she grinned at him and leaned up to kiss his cheek lovingly, "I don't understand why we had to leave hiking as the last thing to do on our list of things to do here; it's just going to make me really sad to leave when we get to the top overlooking the whole island."
