Humans have to be able to adapt. If you can’t adapt then you can’t survive.

"It's more than just survival, though. You survive for the sake of prospering, not just for the sake of living. What's the point in being alive if you're not moving up?"

"You’re just creating a stereotype. To say someone thinks a certain just because they’re a princess is in poor taste. You’re also not in a place to say who should be nobility and who shouldn’t. Especially based on the way they think. No one is. People don’t earn titles. They are born with them or get them by marriage and that doesn’t automatically take away their way of free thinking."

"Stereotypes are based in truth. They exist because someone noticed a trend between certain groups of people. As for who does and does not deserve nobility, I have every right to believe what I want to believe. Being born into something doesn't mean you're worthy of it. Not always. And lastly, you're acting as though I meant to insult you--I never once said that idealism is a bad thing. It's idealism and forward thinking that make the most determined leaders."

My body is actually pretty okay with it. I don’t really even sweat all too much. You get used to everything, I guess.

Marie’s green eyes widened in amusement at her words. “Young royals are all individuals with their own ways of thinking. You may consider me idealistic but that could simply be a trait specific to myself.” She replied, “You’re also proving my point about judging people based on their titles by making that generalization by the way.”

But at the end of the day, nobility is nobility. And if you don't respect nobility, then what's the point of having the title at all? And the nobility who refuse to accept that probably shouldn't be nobility at all." Maleficent pulled her cloak tighter around her body, and then crossed her arms over her chest.

Maleficent chuckled a bit, "You really are a princess, aren't you? You have that idealistic way of thinking that's so common to young royalty."

"Firstly, her name is Princess Marie, and secondly, there’s nothing in particular. I just thought there’d be nothing wrong with some polite conversation."

It's a desert. So you'd wear lighter clothes so you don't get overheated. That's all I meant. We'd never get away with attire like that in Briarwood--we'd either be eaten alive by the insects of the forest or freeze to death in the evenings.
