POMEGRANATE

Oh, Pomegranate, you're so sweet, yet you're hard to eat. Break the skin, and pick apart the seeds. You're flushed blushed tint when ripe, brings a smile to my face, oh, so bright.

I know you're sweet, just like me. But I haven't got a taste, please, break the skin. Slowly and gently picking the seeds. I wanted this fruit, unfortunately it's not its time. Bad luck for me; I am hungry and you're not ready.

'Cause how could I know? You're towering over and I'm down below. I was imagining my dream fruit onto you. You might not even be the pomegranate I used to imagine. But, that's only a theory.

I know for a fact you're a sweet pomegranate deep within. Who hides his sweetness under the skin. You stained my heart, and also my memories. A heartache if I would describe. It sucks to say, you were ripe, all this time. It's just pomegranates are maybe just not the fruit for me.
