Dear non-black studio owners, competition owners, judges, choreographers, dancers, and anyone else who this applies to,

If dancers/parents were just upfront about studio switches, no one would speculate though. The secrecy is def a big part of the reason the fandom has contrived this idea that all switches are a big dramatic ordeal. Because when you hide it until the last possible second, there’s this insinuation that something messy happened. If everyone just disclosed where they were switching to as soon as they decided, there wouldnt be any issues.

Omg you nor any one else is entitled to that information my goodness. They do not need to disclose to anyone. Yea it’s kind to send an email to the studio owner but other than that they don’t need to make anything public.

Ever think they like to keep it secret BECAUSE of how the fandom behaves. It’s like vultures jumping on them dare they change their Instagram bio.

Also, these are just kids dancing and competing. I know in our hearts we treat it like it’s an NFL draft  , but at the end of the day, it’s just kids dancing at a different studio. These kids need boundaries because, without these boundaries, toxic environments are created , which causes many kids to lose their passion for dance  I’m not going to pretend like I didn’t get excited when the list came out or that I wish that studios would just come out with their official list  but at the end of the day we’re here mostly to observe to be honest I wouldn’t want Abbysplié33 DM me that I’m a snake in the grass because I just wanted to try something new being in the fandom is a privilege and if we’re not careful it can be taken away.
