The Last Act Spoilers

I've been dying to talk about what happened in Episode 9, so I made a blog for it! Spoilers! (duh)

I watched the movie for a second time, and the scene with Kinger's pep talk to the orange fish still made me ugly cry. Their openness about their fear of death, and Kinger's understanding meant so much to me. And the way he hugged them after 🥺

BIG SPOILERS, YEOWCH

I know that Pomni cares a lot about Gummigoo, but did we really need him in every scene? All the emotional beats get ruined by him standing there, looking stupid as hell. When he does do something, it's just him saying, "Good on ya, mate," or "Nah, yeah, fellas, I think she's right," or something else like that. I mean, I get it. They wanted to show his struggles with breaking free from his NPC programming. But for fuck's sake, he takes up almost half the screen! And Pomni has to awkwardly drag him around, like he's some sort of kicked puppy, and nobody enjoys this, not even Pomni. Who wrote this? Seriously.

I can't believe Ragatha abstracted. I mean, it makes sense, but also ;-;

At least Pomni held her. When even Jax cried, I lost it. I think it happened because she went so soon, and no one expected it, and right after Jax finally let down guardrails. This show, dude...

Okay, hot take, but I think Jax should've had more screentime. I mean, sure we get flashbacks, but most of it isn't even relevant. Like, who decided we need a ten (twenty?) minute scene of stargazing? Sure, it's nice, don't get me wrong, but it's totally overkill! And don't get me started on all the time wasted with Pomni wandering through doors. She's in a single room, and somehow she still gets lost? Then, she's listening to piano for forever, and it's like we get it, you like music, you don't need to hang in the same place for five minutes. Honestly, I just don't get the writers sometimes, smh.

DON'T LOOK, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SPOILED!!!

I wish Gooseworx made the Abstragedy sex scene longer. I mean, they had virtually no foreplay, during pride month 🙄

I'm just saying, we deserved at least a half hour. I know that's not much longer than what we got, but I think those extra minutes would've allowed for such great chemistry and build up between the two.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

Man, I really loved the scene where Kinger got to have one last goodbye to Caine, before he got overwritten in the code. Kinda messed up that it was so short, but I guess that's just how goodbyes go sometimes.
