Missing You
Of all the things Kara had complained about while she was learning about Earth. She had decided that she would take them all back if she could only complain about one specific thing. Which was that she hated when Alex was away from her.
Though she couldn’t stand the DEO and had struggled trying not to block the door (even if she did pull Alex back a few times for kisses and hugs and questions she kept making up on the spot) Kara had known that it would be good for Alex to get back into her daily routine and she just hoped that things went okay and Alex didn’t get in trouble for helping her.
But it had been eight hours and Kara couldn’t stop staring at the clock. To the point where she had been camped out in the middle of the living room just staring at it. It was the strangest thing, she couldn’t describe how she felt. Needy, small, weak, slightly pathetic. But she knew one thing...She missed Alex.
And it was the worst sensation she had ever felt. Even worse than the Kryptonite had been and that felt like she was being burned alive from the inside.
She’d forced herself out of the apartment to take a walk and also managed to pick a few flowers for Alex after learning that was something humans liked. (Thanks to a few of the movies Alex had watched with her)
Making her way back into the apartment and realizing Alex still wasn’t home Kara couldn’t help the pout that formed on her face. Maybe she should go look for her...Surely she shouldn’t have been gone this long. No she should wait...Maybe ten more minutes...Then she’d go.
With a small nod to herself she found a glass from the cupboard, putting some water in it before delicately placing the flowers in it.
