Island Invite
Akira carried with him a compact little bag with him on the trip. Not the best of equipment, especially with an exotic vacation like this, but every once in a while he prided himself on his simplicity. A beach provided some decent space for him to train in after all and any chance to hone his craft was as good a time as any.
Though he highly doubted that volleyball was going to improve the sharp style of his moveset. Even a Byakko Soushouda wouldn’t be too feasible to get over the net whose stands were fragile to begin with.
He set aside his thoughts as he stepped into the sand with Jacky. Akira could not help but pop the question.
“Hey, Jacky? Do you think they might have some Chinese stalls here? I could probably use some grub right now…”
“Chinese stalls? Hmm, maybe,” Jacky replied as he adjusted his bag’s strap. “They’ve got all kinds of food here, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did. Let’s see…”
The blond pulled out from his jacket a map of the island he had printed out, showing the various locations, including the hotel and the restaurants. “I see a Chinese restaurant. They must have stalls around here too. Eh, we’ll see. Let’s go to the hotel, then we can get more info.”
Jacky began trudging through the sand towards the road that lead to the hotel, which was not too far from the beach. The island was not gigantic, but it had so much that it would be difficult finding Sarah. Jacky would just have to use his best knowledge of his sister to find where she was. The hotel was conveniently the best place to start.
Akira hopped onto the beach from the boat as he followed Jacky towards the hotel they were gonna stay at. Much to his disappointment, it wasn’t exactly Hotel Granvia considering a more summer-like feel which felt more like a condo than anything else.
Akira wasn’t offended per-say. Moreso confused. One hotel he stayed at many years ago was a run down alley-way of New York so it kind of made a bit of sense, but somehow the overtly romantic look of the building slipped past his head. He had some money on him to buy simple things like food or shoes but not enough to book expensive rooms for two weeks, so he whispered to his friend.
“Hey, Jacky? Do you think you have enough cash for the booking service? I’m a little broke here...”
