Hey! So one thing about me is that I have been a music live streamer on Twitch for the last 4+ years. It has been so much fun and something I really love.
I started during the pandemic because local gigs were placed on hold. I spent time figuring out what I wanted to do. I randomly found an article on Facebook about people streaming in places like Twitch, so I decided to check it out. It was the right call, I have been able to make my own schedule, my own path, I play music from my house and it has been a lot of fun.
I post the videos of every stream on YouTube as well, so I encourage you to go check this recent stream.
You should also totally follow me on Twitch too and join the fun: https://www.twitch.tv/thelgmusic
I have a new video series premiering soon called "Mini Sessions @ Home". The idea is a variation of the "Tiny Desk" series from NPR. I 100% miss the boat every year on submitting on time, but I thought "I can just make my own". YouTube premiere on Friday, so make sure you follow me there!
Hi!
Hey y'all! I haven't been posting on here much, but thought I need to change that. I had said that I "missed" the Tumblr ship when it was a thing, but I do believe platforms like this are great places to be. Btw, I am an indie musician, a singer songwriter, a story teller. I also am a dog and dad cat, and taco afficionado.
You can check all of my links and stuff here:

I am live on Twitch!
Since I am new here, I should let you know that I stream regularly on Twitch. I do a ton of covers, plus originals. It’s a good time.

My Dad was a really big fan of Mexican politics, it is something that as far as I can remember, he always loved discussing, learning and reading about. He became a huge fan of the former Mexican President AMLO, as well as the current President Claudia Sheinbaum.
This book was the last one he was reading before he got sick and passed away last year. I have been reading it and intend to finish it on his behalf.
I miss you so much, Dad.
So I’m trying to figure out tumblr. I never really used it back in the day. Going to take me a second. I want to use this to share my music and my story.
Part 2 of sharing my discography:
It was early July in 2023, when I felt something felt “a bit off”, my wife rushed me to the emergency room, where my blood pressure was sky rocketing, on the verge of a stroke according to a nurse. Later that day, I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and was admitted into the hospital, fighting for my life for the next few days. It was during this time that I began reflecting a lot of different things in life, choices I had made that lead me to this difficult moment, and a renewed sense of “living life” was born, along with the idea for this new album called “Second Chances”.
This album is very personal. Some of the very dark and difficult moments I’ve lived in the past year have been what formed this experience. Life is too short to take for granted, if I learned anything, it’s been that life is worth living for and that the world needs you. My hope is that it finds its audience, and if that’s you, I hope it helps you find peace with the wild ride that is this life.
You can listen to Second Chances in all streaming platforms and on Spotify here:
As I’m just getting started and introducing myself here, I’ll start with my discography.
“Somewhere to call home” was my first EP, which I released in November 2022. I had a single called “Waves” that I had released earlier that year and I included in this album. It is 6 songs that I wrote and produced in collaboration with my good friend YahmezTV, who I met on Twitch.
I learned a lot from releasing this album, and there were some good and hard lessons that came along with it, but I am very proud of this piece of work.
This album reflects a time in my life in which I was defining what “home” meant for me. Most of the songs were written during the Covid lockdown, when I went through a lot of doubt and confusion. Like most, my mental health was not the best either in 2020-2021 and a lot of these songs reflect this. Overall, it was a time of growth for me and I’m very grateful for this little EP.
You can listen to it on Spotify and all streaming platforms:
Hey friends! I guess I should introduce myself to the Tumblr world. My name is Luis, I go by LG or LG Music, whatever you want to call me is totally OK (LG is just my initials, no affiliations to the electronics company). I am a singer, guitar player, husband, fur dad, and taco aficionado.
I always wanted to learn to play guitar, but never really learned until I was in my 20s. I was so shy and afraid to ever perform until a friend encouraged me to attend an open mic back in 2019, and I remember being terrified. I actually remember I was so nervous I completely butchered the first song I did (it was a you can do 2 songs open mic). After that, I started gaining confidence, hitting every open mic locally that I could.
In 2020 I was like “okie dokie, I am ready to start setting up some gigs!”. I had one, and then the pandemic hit the USA and everything shut down. This crushed me and I felt like maybe it just wasn’t meant to be, then a group of local musicians organized a virtual music fest on Facebook in April, and that was pretty fun. I tried some FB and IG live after that, started a YouTube channel, but I felt like something was missing. Then I found Twitch, where I have been regularly streaming since then and its been great to create a community there.
This is a little bio I wrote for press releases:
With roots in indie rock, pop, emo, folk and a Southern California vibe, LuisG delivers a powerful melodic style, charming story-telling, and relatable lyrics. Based in Las Cruces, NM, where he lives with his wife, his 2 cats and dog, he has established a name for himself in online spaces and local circles, recording and producing from his own home studio.
In January 2022, he released his first single called "Waves", followed up by a second single called "What I've Learned". Both singles were followed up by a debut EP called "Somewhere to Call Home", released in November 2022. In 2023, he continued releasing new music such as "Dear Friend", which he wrote as a tribute to his friend Kay Hernandez, who taught him how to play guitar. This song, along with his latest single "Burgers & Fries (no one tells you how to make friends when you've grown up)", belong to his latest album "Second Chances", that he wrote after a serious health crisis that made him re-evaluate many things about his life. As LuisG states "Second Chances is an album about reflecting and remembering the things that are important in life, and moving into a new chapter".
With some of his latest songs such as “Sober” and “Summer Rain”, Luis puts himself as someone who is not afraid to take chances and share the most personal experiences in his life.
