Inside of Cayde’s ship was an old couch, where the hunter vanguard was lounging half-asleep. The sound of the knocking, though, shocked him awake, causing him to jump up with a sense of cat-like alertness. The bright blue of his gaze darted to the source of the knocking, taking a moment to focus and process the muffled words he was hearing from the other side.
BioHazard. He recognized the hunter’s name to her face, though he couldn’t imagine what she could possibly need. Getting up, he made his way to the hatch that would open the door, popping it open to reveal his visitor.
His brow plate rose, looking at her curiously as he crouched in the ‘door’ of his ship. The clothing he wore was much lighter than he did at the vanguard hall, cloak gone – a strange sight – draped over the couch he’d been on.
“What can I do for you?’ He asked, simply, then glanced back inside the living quarters of his ship. ”You want to step inside here for a minute?“
Whatever it was, he assumed it had to be important if the smaller hunter had came to find him.
Normally, Hazard didn’t wear her helmet in the Tower, she liked showing her emotions when she could, but right now, there was nothing but distress on her face. She visibly winced when Cayde opened the door, his Light hurt her. She looked him over quickly and huddled inside his home.
“So, I, um.” Hazard stood awkwardly by the couch, finally noticing his cloak wasn’t on, she would make a joke, but right now, it was difficult to talk. “The mission, I just got back from, updating the Hive tunnels map? Something happened, something bad.” Her hands moved to cross themselves as she squeezed her fingers into them, trying to hold back the pain and fear.
“I, I had to make a deal. With, a hive wizard.” She began, slowly moving her hands up to the clasps on her helmet, and slowly removed them with shaking hands. “I,” she couldn’t finish as where her optics should have been, were inscribed marks, glowing a harsh green hue. “I don’t have much Light anymore.”
