Please like or reblog if you are a Lord of the rings/The hobbit roleplay blog.
Reblog this if you're having fun playing your character.
{{Because it needs more of this. I want to see that people are having fun playing the character/muse that they’ve chosen. Not feeling obligated/pressured to play their muse the way they “should”; ie, the way others might try to pressure them into doing and trying to control them.
"Do you "
"Do you think you can describe the halls of Erebor again?"
a moment of silence for the people who will have their period on Christmas
not such a white christmas after all ha ha
they’re the young troubles of the group
i’ve shared my life with you, brother
since i recall, you’ve been my friend
you say we’re not like the others
still we must die, all things must end
Nope.
"You have to keep on being a parent even though you don’t have a child anymore."
The proud words caused more tears to drip down Kili’s face, a sob slipping from his lips. What pride had he brought to his family for letting his brother get hurt?
For not being able to protect him from this?
"No. No, no I won’t—" Kili choked on his words, entire body trembling as he clutched on his brother tightly, fingers fisting the rapidly soaking cloth.
Those were the same words Fili had spoken when he had stayed behind for him, had stayed in Lake Town and helped him heal from his wounds. He had refused to leave him alone.
Now it was his turn.
"I’m not going anywhere." He breathed out shakily, wiping the tears away from Fili’s cheeks, pressing a shaky kiss on his forehead.
The arrow had come out of nowhere, flying through the air and piercing the youngest straight through his shoulder, making him release a shocked sound of pain. He didn’t even hesitate, blanketing his brother’s body with his own, sheltering him from the rain of arrows that flew above them.
Some of them missed.
Some of them pierced through his flesh, making him grit his teeth together, blood dripping over his brother much like his tear had done earlier.
“…Mên lananubukhs….mênu…" Kili murmured quietly, a weak smile playing on his lips as he breathed in shakily. His back felt like it was on fire, making it hard to breathe, fingers clutching the ground beside Fili’s head, sliding through the dirty blond hair and held on like a lifeline as he pressed their foreheads back together.
I belong with my brother.
Life or death, he would not leave Fili alone.
He clutched tightly onto his brother's clothes. He wanted Kili safe, wanted him far away from this war, from all the death that was around them. But he didn't want his brother away from him. Especially not when Fili knew he would not be making it out of this battle, not with his life intact.
He closed his eyes briefly when his brother kissed his head, a small relief in an otherwise horrible moment. For a moment he was reminded of when he was a child, sick and his mother, sometimes even Uncle would lay a kiss on his forehead to wish him well. But it was different now, he knew it was a kiss to show that Kili probably wasn't going to leave his side.
His entire body jerked, and he flinched at the sight of his little brother being injured. "No!" This wasn't how it was supposed to go. His Uncle's sickness, the stubbornness and hatred that surrounded all of the races that had become involved in the war. "Uncle! Dwalin! Someone. Please!" Fili wasn't begging for himself. He was begging for someone to save his brother. To get him away safely. His own life be damned, he just wanted Kili safe.
He stared up at Kili in horror. "NO!" This couldn't be happening. Not to Kili. Not to his brother. Not to the younger brother who seemed to become his second half. Who was always in sinc with him, who was always at his side. He was supposed to grow up, grow strong within the halls of the home they had reclaimed.
He trembled all over, one hand pressing tightly to the back of his brother's head, keeping their foreheads pressed together. "Forgive me." He mumbled. "I promised mother I'd keep you safe." He offered his own weak bloody smile. "M men lananubukhs menu." He spoke through sobs. "Menu tessu..." He blinked harshly, trying to clear his eyes of the stinging tears. But it was useless. "And you and I, we shall be together still. Just like always."
