I sent my dolls through round 1 of selection. Several keepers were put away before the After photo. I also went through all my clothes and made a bin for tagged AG stuff, non-AG stuff, and shoes and accessories. Plus a donate clothing bin.

My collection WILL be manageable!

I stripped an Ashton Drake doll to the studs for this outfit (and a cute wig) that reminds me of Samantha’s doll Clara. I thought it would go well with this French provincial tufted brocade couch I lobbied to keep out of the trash so now all 7ft of it are mine to deal with.

“I’m all ready for tomorrow.”

You’re ready for my wisdom teeth extraction tomorrow. You’ve made yourself comfortable in my makeshift bed.

“I’ll put these little wings on you if you die.”

I’m simple, I find old carpet and I make you pose on it.

“I hate this, I hate it!”

Don’t make me get the raw meat colored carpet, or the two tone blue shag.

This isn’t what I had in mind when I heard you say you’d post more.

“There has been a lot going on! If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been going to lots of appointments”

Yes, and leaving me at home!

She still needs detailing but looks great so far! I can’t believe the black came off as easily as it did. Even the lipstick wasn’t as bad as I imagined it would be.

I never pass up old AG dolls when I see them, regardless of condition. This Samantha has the pretty, soft brown lashes and velvety soft vinyl. Besides her obvious issues, she’s not a bad doll. No chew marks anywhere and that’s a win!

I also bought a small grab bag that turned out to be someone’s whole August birthstone collection so her name is going to be Peridot. Or possibly Perry or Dot or something related to the stone.

She came from the same thrift store as Tags, a #4, a Lindsey, another Sam and a #12 found side by side, a #119, a #103, and probably 2 or 3 more over the years. It’s a decent spawn point for dolls but you gotta be quick, and ready to arm wrestle someone over them!

“Because you’re small enough to fit on or in front of the samples!”

I have been finding lots of grab bags of doll clothes at the thrift store recently and they’re usually priced at $3 each so you better believe I’m getting all of them! Here’s a couple outfits (minus the shoes) from Saturday’s haul.

In other news: my house is a disaster as I sort through my stuff and make the donate pile and the storage unit pile. Moving is forever on my mind and doing all of this work now will make the process simpler later on.

Anyway, hopefully as the weather warms up, I’ll be able to start posting a bit more! I have a couple of little trips in the works and Tags is looking forward to it.
