“I got caught in a surprise bombing raid during the war, most of my body was destroyed, only a quarter of my original body was intact, the only solution was a fullbody cybernetics operation.” Briareos explained.”As for how the war started… I can’t tell you, we don’t really know, it dragged on for so long, people forgot the reason why it even started, and when the war ended, most of the soldiers didn’t know and simply kept on fighting… there are some out there who still believe World War IV is still going on.”

“A cyborg? Interesting.” She crossed her arms, intrigued, as she listened to the cyborg explain his story, about the war.  “World War IV? There’ve been four wars?”

“Guess I said to much. Hmm I know a lot about you Lightning. It shouldn’t come as that much of a surprise.” She shook her head lightly. “I just know things. Never hurts to be observant.”

“What a surprise.” She murmured, dryly.  “I think it goes past just being observant.  Evidently, you know a bit about God, and his plans.”

Kinjiro chuckles and nods his head, “We should probably begins searching.”

“Agreed.” She gives a small nod.  “Where do you suggest we begin?”

“Seriously? I fucking told you why!” Leaving the sword in the others hand she smacked her double. “Do you not listen Ya ignorant shit! And trust me, people will make a news story out of it. I’ll be watching, I’ll find out and you’ll be dead!” She said annoyed. “But I guess… Hehehehe, been a while. Since it practiced torture on someone… But, eh, why not?”

“Well, seeing as how must of what comes out of your mouth is either fucking nonsense, or insane ramblings, can you really blame me?” Lightning retorted, and winced slightly, when she was smacked.  “Oh?” Lightning asked, as she wriggled her hands, trying to keep her captor distracted.

“Indeed, it is.” She lets out a small, wry chuckle.  “He always did seem fascinated by technology, even as a boy.”

“Why? Why oh why do I speak in riddles, Because its fun of course.” She spun on her heel smiling. “You have to have some kind of love for the guy. Everyone loves him.Well aside from those of us that wander the Chaos. That God may hold poor little Serah over your head but he’s not to be trusted, He’s merely using you as a pawn.”

“Figures you’d say that.” She resisted the urge to roll her eyes, completely unimpressed with the mysterious woman’s reply.  “I wouln’t say ‘love’, exactly.” She replied, with a small frown.  At the mention of Serah, her eyes narrowed.  “How exactly do you know so much?”

"It's... Just a scratch"

She raised an eyebrow at the royal knight’s comment.  “I was in the military, Goofy.  I know what just a ‘scratch’ looks like.  That looks pretty bad.”

He nods as he continue walking ahead before having an big smile seeing an town nearby “hopefully it won’t be long as we about to reach the town so if we lucky maybe the townfolk have spotted them”

“Yes, that’s very true.” She looked up, and also saw the nearby town.  “It’s very possible that someone may have spotted Sora or Donald.  We’ll have to ask around.”

And…  With that, the gunblade pierced the skin and went as deep as it could go in one shove.  “Lemme explain.  This is a thing I wanna know.  I really wanna fucking know.  But there is another way.   Kill you, leave the corpse identifiable, and watch the news.  Which would  you prefer?”

She winced, as she felt the blade digging into her skin.  She could feel a slight dampness in the spot, where the blade had dug into - signifying that the blade had probably drawn blood.  But despite this, she wouldn’t give in.  “Why do you want to know so badly?” She snarled, at the other woman.  “How about neither?”

“It’s alright...” She frowned.  “They sacrificed themselves, to save billions of lives.  It was, ultimately, their decision, in the end.”

“Like I said, you remind me a lot of someone.” She replied.  “And you also remind me of myself, to an extent, or rather, who I could’ve been, if it wasn’t for my sister.” She explained.

Stardust tipped her head up slightly so that her gaze was fixed on the stars above. With the breeze gently lifting her blue-streaked white hair, she attempted to recall the last time she was with her brethren. It had been many years ago; too long for her to remember clearly at the moment. However, Stardust was able to answer Lightning’s question nevertheless. 

“They are four other Dragons who match my power. They are indeed Duel Spirits, just as I am.”

For a moment, she was worried that her question had struck a nerve with the dragon.  If these other dragons were, indeed, the embodiment of card spirits, the odds of Stardust having seen her comrades often, was pretty unlikely.  Those other cards could be with anyone.

“Where are they, now? If I may ask?”

Briareos walked over after checking through all the consoles that had been hacked to pieces by the pink haired woman. The cyborg crossed his arms.”Olympus is one of the countries to come out of the fourth global war, it’s one of the few countries that manages to establish itself as a beacon of hope for humanity. The population is made up of humans, cyborgs, and bioroids. Think of us as a ‘utopia’ for lack of better term.”

“I’m Deunan, the big metal guy behind me is Briareos.”

“There was a war here...?” She asked, feeling completely bewildered.  “What caused the war, if I may ask?” She couldn’t help but observe the giant, mechanical creature, with a bewildered expression on her face.  Cocoon technology had been very advanced, but not quite as advanced, as it seemed to be, here - wherever here was.

“Lightning.” She introduced herself, with a small bow of her head.  “If I may ask...What exactly is your friend?”

“Nope, not one bit. How would I entertain myself and keep you from following that God you love so much if I made things easy and spelled it out for you?

“Who said I love God?” She retorted, feeling somewhat defensive.  “What exactly are you trying to tell me, anyway? Why do you always need to speak in riddles?”

“Well, my best guess from what I was told about Hope would be to search technologically focused areas like laboratories.” Kinjiro answers hoping to make their search for Hope at least somewhat more effective.

“I see.” She gave a small nod.  “I suppose that would make the most sense.  Hope has always been a very sharp kid.” She mused.  “I wouldn’t be surprised if, wherever he is, he’s some sort of technological genius.”
