What did I do last night...
sewn in a different pattern ; Zachary, Oliver & Hayley
he hadn’t changed, not really. he still reminded zach of the nerdy guy he’d met in maths class in school on their first day. he’d been able to relate to him and the two had been friends ever since.
the smile wasn’t going to take away zach’s seemingly ever-grumpy expression, but it was enough for him to lighten the mood, he almost laughed but with other things on his mind, it was a little hard. and he couldn’t stop imagining what his parents had said, what oliver had said.
he didn’t believe it, or rather, he tried not to. it was impossible… monsters weren’t real, where they? monsters were things that hid in the closets or under the beds of young children, they were things you read about and no matter how freaked out you got, you could return to the comfort of real life where those things didn’t exist. oliver was skinny, tall and yeah maybe he’d lost his mind a little, but he was oliver, zach’s best friend… if anybody was a monster it couldn’t be him. it couldn’t be hayley, either… his sister. sure, he remembered her as a thirteen year old girl with a serious need of an attitude adjustment, but a monster?
he breathed in, holding back a sigh as he stared at him, pushing the swarming thoughts of stories and mythical creatures into the back of his head. they could discuss it at some other point, right now, he didn’t care all that much.
”you think just because you killed a bunch of people that I can’t kick your ass?”
Oliver let out an uneasy chuckle. He hadn't expected Zach to bring up the subject of what triggered him, seeing as watching your friend kill people isn't something often bonded over. But e couldn't help let go of the chuckle with the friendly threat of a beating.
"I Would like to see you try." Oliver spoke lightly.
His eyes watched Zach closely, keeping tabs on everything that he did. The last thing Oliver wanted was to scare his friend away on their first reunion.Though he knew that everything had changed since the day Oliver ran he had a small part in his heart that hoped it hadn't; that they were still best friends.
"You're here for Hayley, I assume?"
She blew her fringe from her eyes and her hands raised to cover her mouth.
”Oh my god, Oliver! I’m so sorry.” She blurted out, but his chuckle brought out her own giggle. ”Sorry, I’m not very co-ordinated.” She flushed.
"Don't worry about it. I mean I'm the one that walked directly into the foot swinging zone without looking." He smiled to her.
"You come here often?" He asked, not realizing the flirtatious affiliation to that saying until after he said it.

he sits at the table most covered in shadow, hiding away from the eyes of strangers who seemed to know when somebody was new. obviously, in a town so small it made sense. he was just putting off asking any of these people if they knew his sister or his friend.
he picked at fries and people-watched from out the window of the dimly lit restaurant, hoping and praying that either hayley or oliver would walk past the window. but then it dawned on him, would he even recognise his sister if she walked past him now?
he breathed out, looking down at the almost-empty plate, thinking to himself how he couldn’t picture oliver fitting in here, and what memories he had of a thirteen-year-old hayey fitting in here, but he guessed people changed.
when he looked up, he saw him, the one guy he’d hoped to see. oliver. part of him was happy to see his friend, the other part of him was furious that he hadn’t heard from him for a while, and the other part was slightly afraid now that he knew oliver was never lying about being a monster. he pushed the chair back, the legs scraping against the floor and stormed over to his friend, sliding into the empty seat opposite him.
Oliver sat in his usual booth, shoving food down his gullet. He had learned to love the grill and its sad excuse of food. His mind. ventured to a place that it usually did, his past life in his old home. He had held out his promise of sending his only friend, Zach, the where-abouts of his sister if he ever found her. Which closed off the last thing tying himself to his past life. The loud scrapping of a chair on the floor made it hard for him to stay focused on his train of thought.
A sigh escaped his lips as he finished of hiss food and began taking a sip of his drink, his eyes only looking up when he heard someone slip into the seat across from his. Oliver's eyes widened as he tensed in his spot for a moment before relaxing back into his seat. He hadn't expected to see Zach. He knew that it was highly likely that he would come to Mystic Falls to find his sister, but Oliver had hoped that he wouldn't have to see him, scared of what seeing him would bring out. But still, Oliver was happy. He missed his best friend and felt relieved to have someone there who he actually knew.
The look on Zach's face explained what his lack of words said.
"Okay, I know, I know. Don't be mad. I didn't talk to you at all for the past few years but at least I kept my promise!" He gave a small smile, hoping to ease the icy feelings that his old friend more than likely had towards him.
Nothing at all. I’m simply bored and― thinking.
I see. It's pretty easy to get bored around here.
What are you thinking about?
Chloe needs to get out of the house, she’s barely left for anything but work and it’s getting awfully lonely but she couldn’t figure out what to do. She’d never been great at making friends.
Instead of heading for a more social place, she finds herself at a gym and within the first hour, has a training instructor. Anything to take her mind off of things.
Oliver had just recently begun going to the gym as a way to get his urges to hurt things with out actually hurting anyone. He hadn't paid much attention to where he was walking before he walked directly into the path of someones kick.
Jumping back to avoid being struck he looked at who the foot belonged to. "You should be more careful where you aim that thing." He chuckled wiping the sweat from his forehead.
What are you waiting for?
”Pleasure is all mine, Oliver.”
"how come I haven't seen you around here? Are you new?"
”You’re welcome.” She smiled back at him, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
”I’m Chloe. Hey.” She laughed, ”You’re?”
"Pleasure to meet you Chloe."
"I'm Oliver."
”just… you dropped some cash.” she held the notes out to him.
"Oh. thank you." He smiled at the girl as he took the fallen cash. "I don't think I have seen you around here before, what's your name?"
"Huh, sorry I was hard core zoning out."
Happy 23rd Birthday Dylan O’Brien! (August 26th, 1991)
"I talk to people however I want to." His eyes stayed on him. Kyle felt like he didn’t need to explain himself to anybody, especially Oliver of all people."And if you don’t like it, you don’t need to pay attention to how I talk to the others around me.As the boy was talking, he just looked around the room. What kind of history made him stay here? It was odd, mainly because Oliver seemed nothing like this to Kyle. And by ‘this’ he meant, dark and broken. At least it felt that way to him. When he went home, he had some people to talk to. Caroline and his aunt were always nice to him, so he felt welcomed. Kind of like another home. He just felt kind of bad for Oliver, even though he hated his guts, this guy had some real problems that Kyle would probably never know about. A glance from the window and back to Oliver was all it took for Kyle to realize he didn’t have a lot of problems compared to what he’s seen from this boys home.Kyle let out a breathe and then shook his head,"Is that why you get so mad when I insult you? You think you have nobody?" He asked curious. This boy and Kyle had a lot in common, a lot more than he would have ever imagined. At times he felt alone, even now, when he did stay with family. Kyle felt alone as a werewolf. Like there were no monsters out there like him. It was only then when he took in everything the boy had said."Did you say pack? What are you?" His voice deeper than normal, but he had to know there were more out there like him. Kyle didn’t want to feel alone anymore and if it was fate that brought these guys to talk, then Kyle would be grateful.
Oliver stared at Kyle as he asked his questions. "Well I know I have nobody. I have always been alone, even when people were around. And now no one is around." He looked down, narrowing his eye sight on his hands. Being a wolf never helped in the whole being alone aspect of his life. He distanced himself from anyone and everyone out of fear that he would hurt them while turning.
"What are you?"
For Oliver this was one of the most loaded questions. He was a werewolf, a lone wolf. He had been told not to tell anyone of this unless it was a do or die situation. But he could sense something with Kyle. Something deeper behind the question. Oliver thought of how he should go about answering it. He had been honest so far with Kyle, why stop now.
"I'm a werewolf." He was hesitant to answer, not looking up until he said the final word. His eyes giving more away as they were blood red, as if trying to prove his words were true.
casting away all self restraint: Tyler, Oliver, Alex & Hayley
stonehearted-hybrid:
tonight was busiest night of the month, a full moon, when wolves from all over the place would come to the mikaelson’s house. alex was surprised that the supernatural world still thought klaus was weak and the hybrid is pretty sure if hope wasn’t around, klaus would’ve returned to his old self, if anything, hope being alive made him worse. but hey, if any supernatural being wanted to rush to their death, who was he to judge?
sienna was off somewhere so he’d been paired with marcel to keep watch on the house and alex chose to work further out into the woods, while the vampire chose to stay near the mansion’s entrance.
a sound somewhere in the distance caught alex’s attention… ”hello?”
was somebody dumb enough to walk through the woods alone?
he followed the noise, trying to reach it’s source when he saw it… a young boy… going through the change… wolf. his natural instinct kicked in, protect, but he realised this wolf had nothing to do with him… he was just… turning right there.
he stepped back and watched… what else was there to do? but he still hadn’t found the source of the noise, who was it? the roar came not exactly d i s c r e e t. he stepped closer, searching for the person, the boy who the ”hello”came from, it was a familiar voice.
There’s a few moments of silence and for a moment, he relaxes… perhaps it was his imagination being human was making him paranoid.
But there it was again…
and then a roar.
Wolves? Tyler flinches at the noise. He knows it all too well. He knows how dangerous it is and how fast they are. He’s made himself known and inwardly curses himself for opening his mouth. He’s in danger.
The past few weeks Tyler hasn’t cared about himself, he’s been waiting for it all to be over… He has no mother, no father, no family and the only person he did have, he left behind to go after Klaus - he was stupid. But now that he knew he was in danger, he was afraid. He tried to focus on his breathing - just wishing he was a hybrid once again, stepping back slowly. It was too dark to see anything, damn human eyesight.
His mind panics, where did the noise come from? He doesn’t remember which part of the woods it came from… behind? In front? He can’t run. What is there to do? His eyes search the trees desperately, a glint of eyes, another noise something.
Oliver enjoyed this little game that he had started, watching as the human searched the trees for him. Oliver had the upper hand in the situation and that fact was supplying gasoline to the fire burning in him. He crouched down, his claws digging into the cool ground beneath his feet.
His focus was set on the boy, his eyes never straying as he prepared to attack. Oliver breathed in the cool air, smelling something that he hadn't expected to. Wolf. He looked away for a moment, becoming the one searching for something he wasn't entirely sure was actually there lurking in the dark.
He returned his line of sight onto the boy who slowly moved back, still looking into the trees. Oliver's red eyes threatened to reveal his location as he moved one last time, getting a better angle.
With one final growl he emerged from the woods, baring his teeth as he moved in to attack.
Actually I’m trying to break you of it. You should be used to it by now!
A little bit of both.. What are you doing out here?
"I don't think I will ever get used to anything in this place." He spoke with a small smile.
"I... I actually don't know why I'm here. I was just kinda running, and managed to get here. So I guess thanks for stopping me. I would have just kept going. Why are you here?"
Boo.
What? It’s not my fault you’re so jumpy.
Well you certainly have been making sure that I stay that way.
Did you need anything in particular or just searching for the thrill of giving me a fright?
Millie looked up as the guy who approached and slightly smiled. “Thanks. This baby was a birthday gift. “
"Dang, I think the best birthday gift that I ever got was some socks back in the 7th grade." Oliver laughed lightly and smiled.
