Yes that had to be a good thing. She doesn’t hurt anywhere else, just her head. She doesn’t want to think about being hurt anywhere else– Overseers were monsters, simple as that.

Morgan nods, smiles lightly, and finishes with his task before leaning back on his heels and observes her face. “There. That should take care for most of it. But that won’t keep the bruises from forming.” He says, touching her other cheek gently. “Take well, to keep from Custis’ sight till it yellows.”

He stands to his feet in one motion, water and soiled cloth in hand before handing it out to a passing maid. “Come, let us get you ready for bed.” He said softly, taking her hand. “If it start to hurt more, all I can suggest if more brandy to sooth it.”
