So it’s Mermay something I’ve wanted to take part in for a while and I’ve recently gotten into Slay The Princess
So now I present to you The Lure:
Let me explain some inspirations of mine:
So Mermaids are often depicted as luring sailors to their deaths with their beautiful singing and anglerfish use their bioluminescent light to lure in prey so that idea really just writes itself.
Now you’re probably wondering about the fact that she has a human face and an anglerfish face and the reason for that is because I got some inspiration from Venus Flytraps and how when they’re hungry they open their mouth and release a sweet smelling scent, so the idea is that when The Lure wants to well lure someone in (Like a certain bird) she opens her mouth to reveal a second face that then begins to sing a sweet melody.
Now onto personality (Or at least the rough draft I got so far.):
TW: Mentions of possessive behaviour. (Just in case.)
Since real world anglerfish fuse together when they find a mate I got the idea to make her quite clingy and possessive when it comes to The Long Quiet and she’s obsessed with the idea them spending all of their time together, she will get very upset if he tries to leave the cabin without her.
(Haven’t decided on the steps to unlock her yet but I’m sure I’ll get there.)
And that’s my Mermay submission!
I really liked drawing her and I’m really proud on how she came out, I hope you like her too
Now if you excuse me, I’m gonna listen to some mermaid music.
So The Princess, The Long Quiet and MC from Obey Me are roommates in my Tomodachi Life and this conversation just happened at the table:
The Princess: Now let’s remember to be more careful when it comes to knocking before opening the bathroom door
The Long Quiet and MC: We’ll be more careful next time, we swear
This game truly is like playable fanfiction.
You know what speaking of MC I might as well go into Mammon’s confession to them because why not:
So Mammon got feelings for MC after accidentally grabbing their hoof while fighting over the TV remote when they both still lived together with Foxy and Mangle (Now only Mammon lives with them.) and yesterday told me he wanted to confess to them, so due to a mix of not having any clothes that I thought suited him and not having confirmation that MC also liked him I gave him a suit to wear and a bouquet to give them (might be out of character but I really wanted them together.)
So after he confesses at the fountain there’s a silence where I’m unbearably anxious of ether a rejection or a surprise other suitor.
MC and Mammon are now together.
Not as dramatic as the last confession I told you about but I still wanted to tell you.
So something else amusing happened in my Tomodachi Life today:
Pretty much The Long Quiet tried to playfully spook The Princess and she ended up yeeting him across the room in surprise.
And then barely even a minute later she said she wanted to propose (Maybe this was an apology)
However this might surprise you but I said no because the passion may burn strong but they literally JUST got together and My Mum agreed with me that they need some time to build a foundation.
The Long Quiet decided that he wanted to confess his feelings to The Princess and so I told him to do it on the ferris wheel because he once had a imagine spot about them doing something romantic on a ferris wheel and I gave him a bouquet of carnations to give to her because why not.
He then confesses to her with the bouquet but before she can answer him Bonnie the bunny suddenly enters the ferris wheel cart and professes his love to her.
Then again before she can answer him Freddy Fazbear comes out from under her seat and professes his love for her.
She then chooses The Long Quiet and they’re now together.
Nowhere but Tomodachi Life can you find confessions this beautiful or dramatic.
So Random question involving Shining Armour if he wins, Do you think it will be an entirely new foal Or do you think this is how we’re gonna get Skyla officially into the Friendship is magic canon?
For context just in case you don’t know what I’m on about this is Skyla:
Oh boy do I know Skyla.
Real answer: Yes absolutely. This is her true origin, trust me bro.
Barbie's tail anon here! The fic was delicious, thank you ^_^
I have a new fic request inspired by New Beginnings. So we can all agree that Solomon fucks, right? Like, the man is thousands of years old. He's been around. And even though he has a pact with the literal Avatar of Lust, sometimes he just wants to feel that human connection. But of course he knows not to get too attached with ordinary humans, given they don't know about magic or demons and their lifespans have an end, unlike his. Better to avoid messy things like 'love', for the sake of both sides. So he usually keeps things casual and before any real meaningful feelings develop he just...disappears.
Now imagine. He just ended one of those short n sweet relationships because RAD will be starting soon. He walks in on the first day of class only to find out the other human exchange student is...Y/N. The woman he just ghosted only a couple weeks ago...
( Hoping for a little bit of everything with a happy ending but if you like my idea and you wanna just run with it & see where it takes you, please feel free <3 )
Glad you liked the Barb fic!!! I kind of combined this one with a request from @theloremaniac and I hope it suits you both :) Just a little fluff to get this Sunday started.
Summer Memories (SolomonxGN!Reader)
TWs: mild mentions of nsfw in the past
You looked like her. You looked like her and that’s why he chose you, at least that’s what he told himself back then. Solomon was drawn in by your looks and the way you carried yourself, head held high and full of questions about the world. It made you adorable, intriguing even, and that’s why he spent the summer with you. Those are facts, but Solomon knows that it runs much deeper than that. You looked just like her. Are you a descendant? A reincarnation? What’s he supposed to do, though? Take you with him? No, the two of you had your fun, enjoyed each other’s presence and bodies until both of you were sated. Long, restless nights combined with easy conversations and a simple understanding that things had to end sooner rather than later. Was izt really a simple understanding, though? A part of him knows you would've been ready to follow him anywhere, even literal hell, which a part of him thought you wouldn't be able to handle.
And yet, here you were. The person he never thought he’d see again. It’s been a few weeks since he pulled the tooth, since he broke your heart for a little while until you moved on to find someone better, someone who could give you something like stability and security. As much as Solomon could, theoretically, give you that too, his life is too unpredictable; he’s too unpredictable. What are the odds of you ending up here at RAD, though? Or perhaps this truly is a trick from God? You still look like her. You still have that wit and that curiosity around you as you stand there that reminds him of her a little too much. It irks him. It doesn’t seem right. Somewhere along the lines of knowing you, he had tried to trace your family tree and came up to…. nothing. No relation. Just a coincidence. A cruel trick of fate.
“Hey there (Y/N), didn’t think I’d ever see you again.” But that’s the thing about coincidences; Solomon doesn’t believe in them. You turn around to look at him and for the slightest of seconds, there’s a flicker of hurt in your eyes along with a thousand unanswered questions in that pretty little head of yours that Solomon would answer right away. Or, at least, that’s how he currently feels. “I was hoping to never see you again.” You say back, having masked your emotions rather quickly. Ouch. That hurt, but Solomon knew he deserved it. Officially, he never told you that you were just a little fling, something to pass the time with, but to be fair, he also didn’t expect to catch feelings. When was it that the simple line of pleasures for the flesh had turned into pleasures of the mind as well? He doesn’t remember, but he does remember the long nights after a hot and steamy session, when both of you laid in a bed all sticky and sweaty, sometimes still catching your breath while conversation seemed to flow freely.
“Still as witty as always, I see.” He says with a soft chuckle. There’s amusement in his eyes, something that bothers you. Had it not affected him in the slightest when he walked away? Did none of it mean anything? It doesn’t seem like it, but Solomon is battling with himself internally. You’re so beautiful and his eyes start raking over your body. The uniform hugs your curves, accentuates your waist and although the grey color is mostly dull, it for some reason works well on you. “Grey suits you… it was never black and white with you; this is the perfect mixture.” Solomon suddenly mumbles words that were only meant for himself. A flicker of surprises crosses his features as he hears himself speak out loud and he silently hopes that you didn’t actually hear that, or that you’d at least not mention any of it.
But of course you did, of course you heard, and it gives your heart an odd little squeeze. How dare he talk about you like that when he’s the one who walked away? You were confused when he ended things so abruptly, heart broken, and the last weeks were used to remind yourself that this is really over and that you’ll never see him again, and yet, here he stands. “Why do you care, Solomon?” The words come out harsher than you mean for them to, but you’re ready to get out of here and be done with this conversation. You don’t want to talk about the what ifs or recall the way his body fits perfectly against your own. You don’t want to relive the memory of tracing every single tattoo, now silently becoming aware that those are pact marks. You don’t want to recall every long night filled with conversation and laughter and you certainly don’t want to recall the feelings that are still inside of you.
“Ah, can’t I have some concern for my favorite person?” It’s teasing, too playful, too casual for everything that has transpired. It shouldn’t sound like that, not when he had lost the right to speak to you the moment he walked away, and yet, you find yourself missing his teasing, leaning into the easy banter. “No. You weren’t concerned when you turned your back to me and walked away.” You replied, keeping your voice steady. Your hands were gripping the books you were given for classes earlier. Your eyes are locked with his, which is why you caught the flicker of surprise and hurt in his eyes, something that made your own stomach churn.
“I was concerned, of course, but it needed to happen.” Solomon is so quick to deflect. A part of him will always be too childish, too guarded for these types of conversations. The thought of opening up and letting someone in to see his true feelings is terrifying and he’d rather shove an axe through his forehead than do that. But then again, he never had to open up with you, did he? No. You just opened the door and waltzed right in as if you owned him. It was always so easy for you to get under his skin and into his mind, which is why those long nights talking ever even started. You really are like her and it messes with his mind. That’s a chapter he’s closed a long, long time ago and who are you to open up that book again? Still, he can’t bring himself to get truly angry with you and he doesn't want to snatch that book back.
“I was coming here and I didn’t expect you to wait on me, not when I never planned on waiting for you.” His words are harsh in your ears, but they’re true and for some reason, that both hurts and calms your heart. Right, how was he supposed to know you’d be here? More important, how were you supposed to know that he’d be here? Right now, you want to throw it all at his head but every time you open your mouth, nothing comes out. “Always a gentleman, Solomon.” You reply sarcastically, rolling your eyes instead. Somewhere inside of Solomon, there was a slight pinch. Were you not satisfied with the truth? Here he is laying himself out and you just… reply sarcastically?
“Look, we can’t change what happened, but I also don’t want to spend this exchange year hating you, so… can we just file away those memories and be friendly with one another?” It was you extending an olive branch, trying to smooth things over and find some peace and it took Solomon by surprise, a feeling that he masked quickly with a playful smirk. “Friendly? I think we’ve been more than friendly with one another. Tell you what, if–!” But before he could finish his sentence, you had already turned on your heel and started to walk away. Rude. That’s what he thinks, anyway. His legs seemed to carry him after you on their own accord, not giving his mind much time to think this through. “Okay, okay, I get it.. I'm not your favorite person right now, but let’s be… friendly with one another.” He tries again, placing a gentle hand on your shoulder to keep you from walking away.
You stop dead in your tracks, the slight touch on your shoulder sending chills down your spine. All of Solomon’s touches over the summer had been sending chills down your spine, had been electrifying, and had set your body on fire. Memories of your naked limbs intertwined, of slow sensual movements against hard surfaces and promises spoken into the dead of night suddenly crossed your mind and before you know it, you’re leaning into his touch. Solomon notices, too, and stiffens up for a moment. Touching you, talking to you, chasing after you… it’s a desperate need he cannot still inside of him, not when you’re right here and show him so freely the kind of effects he has on you.
Taking another step closer, you can feel the heat of his body now radiating across your back. His chest is right there, almost touching your back and his breath ghosts over the few inches of skin still on display despite the conservative RAD uniform. “For what it’s worth, I haven’t enjoyed myself quite as much as I’ve enjoyed myself with you, for a very long time.” He says quietly, his voice a little rough around the edges. He doesn’t admit feelings outright; he jokes about them, teases them into conversation in a way that never allows anyone to notice what he's doing. Right now, he feels the need to say them openly, though.
Walking away, ending the summer fling, it had only been a natural action, something he’s always done to protect himself, but there was an undeniable connection between the two of you that went deeper than physical intimacy or silly little moments. He knows that. You know that.
Slowly turning to face him, you search his eyes for a lie, for a deceit, anything that makes walking away right now easier… but all you find is sincerity and the same intensity with which he had always regarded you and suddenly, the past few weeks seemed to disappear into nothingness. You felt like this was the true Solomon, the one who rarely, if ever, gave glimpses into his own head and your heart flutters at the thought that he’s giving it to you right now.
“Yeah… I enjoyed myself too.” You reply softly, not bothering to take his hand away from your shoulder. Another moment passes, the silence slowly becoming deafening as both of you struggle to find a way to end this odd conversation. Solomon is the first to pull out of it, his hand dropping from your shoulder and his throat clearing in a cough before he puts on his usual smug grin, “well, that just means we have to keep each other around, huh? Can’t wait to see you tonight!” He says almost too happily before walking off, leaving you standing there in the hallways of RAD.
The moment the spell was broken, you felt a mixed sense of relief and sadness that he pulled away. For a second, you tried to unfold and understand those emotions, which is why you didn’t immediately react. “Tonight…” you mumble to yourself before snapping out of it and turning around to face the direction he went. “Wait! I never agreed to anything, what do you mean tonight?!” You shout after him, earning a few annoyed glances from fellow students at the sudden loud disturbance, but you didn’t care. Solomon doesn’t answer, just keeps on walking, a soft smile on his face that you won’t be seeing anytime soon.
“Jackpot,” he mumbles to himself, eyes sparkling with the usual mischief and mind racing with new thoughts and plans, but there’s also something else right now… a soft acceptance that meeting you was inevitable, that there is a reason why you were brought onto his path and why you look so much like her…
And perhaps a hint of excitement at the prospect of letting these summer memories blossom a little further.
Well it took a while but today in Tomodachi Life I finally got Foxy to reciprocate Mangle’s feelings so just waiting for a confession and also finally got The Long Quiet to get a crush on The Princess now I just need her to come around.
So how about you guys? Any shipping wins in your games?
