When the Seven Years' War ended, my grandpa, King Louis XV, made an arranged marriage with the daughter of the Austrian emperor to preserve the alliance between the French and Austria. Rumor has it, she's beautiful? But nah dawg, I'd rather eat than date.

Hey fam, guess what? There have been rumors that wifey and I can't produce a child. Some people are even suggesting that we should get annulled...that's whack, but I don't really care about these rumors. Marie ignored my grandma, Madam Du Barry (that's bad action fam), but my grandma ignored her too lmao.

Hey homies! I'm back to updating this blog! Marie Antoinette and I are living two separate lives. Her and her night life parties and me with my hunting and food. But guess what? We finally consummated our marriage.

Financial Failings....

1787-1788

The General of finances recognized that France is on the brink of bankruptcy, but he cannot find an acceptable solution.  We're trying to solve the crisis by having an assembly. 

But I think this plan is better: I will make the Third Estate pay more taxes and due to the poor harvesting, the prices of bread will rise.  Hopefully this works homies...

Change of Power (Estates General)

May 1789

I'm holding a meeting at Versailles with the representatives due to all this rough public pressure. Caniers de doleances, list of grievances, were brought to share at the meeting because of the disagreements between me and the Third Estate.

Hey guys, sadly, the meeting of the Estates General didn't work out. The Third Estate defied my order and met separately, calling themselves the National Assembly...lol.

Forbid~ (Tennis Court Oath)

I locked them out of their regular meeting room because I'm so done with them. What's the point of not following my orders? I'm the King for goodness sake! 

Update real quick: They assembled at a nearby tennis court and said they wouldn't break up until France has a constitution. 

Lmao, at a tennis court....for real though....how low can they get.

Evil Plan: Destroy the Third Estate

July 1789

They want to make a mess, I'll give them a mess.  I don't get the point of this National Assembly. I'm going to gather royal troops in Paris and plan an attack against them.  Update: They heard about my plan and they broke into the Bastille!!! They released the prisoners and they accumulated weapons to defend themselves. Nah. That's bad action.

Everything's Starting to Fall Apart

July-August 1789

The Third Estate is making disturbances throughout France. They heard about rumors of a poor economy and scarcity of food. They're so sensitive oh my goodness! They're attacking the estates of the nobility! The National Assembly also passed a Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, describing rights of individuals and guiding of democratic principles! What more do they want wtf!

Women's March of Versailles

October 1789

Several thousand women marched to Versailles protesting about the high prices of bread. But hey, at least I have all the bread I want. They found out our plans of moving out of France. But fam, they forced us to return to Paris so we would have less of an opportunity to escape. This is getting out of hand, FOR REAL.

Escape Failed

June 20-25 1791

I didn't feel like we were safe in France anymore. My family and I attempted to escape to Varennes, but unfortunately, we got caught and we were forced to return to Paris once again. fml.
