Yinepu
This came out super nice, I will make prints soon to put in my Etsy store.
blessed dead
I still love Yinepu.
Just burning my way through some old prayers, since I can't take them with me.
Also, fire.
I hope people aren't too put off by the personal antecdote posts. I think it can be easy to get caught up in the polished/curated "content generation" look, especially on Tumblr. But I also think it can be helpful and comforting to remember that we're all just human beings too, we're always learning and growing in our practice. Personally I like reading people's anecdotes and UPG experiences with their deities. It makes it easier to interpret my own experiences through a modern, every day lens.
So... Set and Anubis apparently woke my celtic pagan bestie from a dead sleep last night. So this morning bestie did a tarot reading on my behalf and pulled the tower and justice. I'm trying to figure out what both my patrons could feel so strongly about that they'd feel the need to warn me AND seek an outsider to do it instead of coming to me direct 😬
Btw I'm of the belief that the tower moment has passed. I had a moment of moral weakness that required a slap on the wrist from the spiritual parents. I made it right and everything is square now, which aligns with the reading.
It's such an odd feeling to gain comfort from being reprimanded. I guess it's nice to know that my deities are still guiding me to be a good person and not just passively watching me.
It feels like Set is doing the equivalent of standing in front of me waving his hands around and I'm just too oblivious to see him. I can feel his energy and I get the sense he wants to tell me something, but it's like we're speaking two different languages. Or like I'm underwater or something and everything sounds garbled.
I'm planning on getting my new altar set up next weekend, so maybe that will open the spiritual doorway a little more and make his message clearer to me.

I went to a hen party today and there was a build your own bouquet station, so I made one for Bast ☺️
Ignore the fact there's a lily in it, I know they're toxic to cats but I maintain that Bast can enjoy lillies in the same way that Yinepu can enjoy chocolate.
I'd really like to create a companion piece to the Set cowboy art I did, this time for my other dad Yinepu, but I need to shake off the art cobwebs first I think..
I also want to incorporate the favorite flower of an acquaintance of mine who passed away recently as a way to honor them.
Anubis or Hermanubis.

Praying to Set for guidance and courage to do something he's been pushing me to do for well over a year. Something I've been avoiding like a stubborn child even though it'll be good for me. I know he's very much the "do it scared" deity, so it's time to listen and stop shutting out his words.
Btw it's been 5 months and I did the thing :)

Tiny chaos god
Made myself a little set figurine in the style of those little Anubis figures you find in every spiritual shop
Oh wow I love this so much! He's perfect
"We shall find some curious traces of a cult of this Sēt-Typhōn presiding over Judeo-Gnostic rituals in which Adam plays the leading part. This cult came to be actually codified is attested by the existence of Egyptian figurines of the god Sēt, cast in bronze, which are perfectly appropriate to it. The most significant represent the god walking with the hieratic gait, his body girt with a loincloth and surmounted by a head which was not, not the muzzle of the mythic setian animal commonly assigned to Sēt in the Pharaonic tradition, but the ass's head much more rarely met with. There is no doubt about the identification of the god worshipped in this guise, as one of the great figures of Gnosticism: the pedestal is engraved with the name Aberamenthōu, which denoted Jesus"
