Mabinogi (a MMORPG, if you don’t know) gets it name from the Mabinogion. This is a Mabinogi-based roleplay group.

Alright, sorry for the huge delay in starting the RP! Finals week is coming up soon and I've been busy dealing with that, I apologize.

Since we have a manageable number of people, I figure that you guys can just contact others starting in the same area as you OOC and work out how you're going to start. (I ditched the idea of a set post order since it seemed overly complex--just work it out among yourselves and let me know if there's any problems.) 

It's imperative you follow everyone else in the group on your RP blog if you aren't already, so that you can be aware of all the goings on--check the member list and let me know ASAP if you aren't on there!

New people are still welcome, and don't stress if you're not ready yet--just shoot me and/or the people you'll be RPing with a quick message.

If you have any trouble with anything(can't contact other people, blog/layout troubles, etc), please don't hesitate to contact me.

Bow

Tuatha de Danann Human

Bow is the founder and leader of the weapon group, a five-person team that go by the name of the weapon(s) they wield. Her weapon of choice is a green highlander longbow. If the situation calls for it, she also is good at turning her arrows into makeshift weapons for close combat.

Although fierce, she is very reckless and rash. Often making mistakes, she is not the best leader, but her team is very loyal to her and loves her nonetheless. Bow is a dedicated tomboy and rejects everything girly except for the bow in her hair, which she refuses to explain (and will deck anyone who questions it in the face).

OWL POST ISSUE #1

PORT CEANN

Ships to Belvast and Iria are departing soon. Some primarily for passengers, some carrying cargo, some both. Check the party board for departure times and pricing.

Help unload incoming ships and transport their cargo to Bangor. 

Do odd jobs around camp--setting up tents, cooking food, and anything else you can think of. 

PORT QILLA

A villager is having trouble managing his farm on the outskirts of town. Help sow and harvest crops, ward off foxes and other predators from his chickens, or help out in any other way you see fit.

Explore beyond our borders and help with native relations. Perhaps find the company of a native guide. Gifts may be handy, but avoid bringing up the relationship between elves and giants or appearing to favor one or the other.

VALES

Head down to Port Qilla as an ambassador representing Vales. Do whatever you can to build good relations and have as many allies as you can join us.

The harsh winter is coming, and it's important to stock up for it. Gather firewood, food, and other supplies that we may find useful. If you happen to be a craftsmen, refine the raw materials that others bring in.

FILIA

Journey to Port Qilla under our flag and convince as many humans as you can to support the elves of Connous. Be careful when making the trek across the desert.

Monsters constantly threaten the safety of the elves. Hunt down lungfish and desert bears to trim their numbers.

BELVAST

If you need to catch a ride or ship something, ships are constantly going back and forth from Uladh to Iria. Check the party board for up-to-date departure times and fare.

There has been a shortage of quality fish for sale, but there hasn't been a shortage of demand at Barry's pub. Catch large, edible fish for Barry to serve at his pub. Be sure to keep them fresh!

Guards at Scathach Beach have been cutting their shifts short, or not showing up at all. Help out by filling in for missing guards.

Issue #1 OOC

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST.

If you are a human, you may start in Port Ceann, Belvast, or Maiz. If you are an elf, you may start in Filia, Belvast, or Maiz. If you are a giant, you may start in Vales, Belvast, or Maiz.

First off, I'd like everyone to make an introductory post that establishes where their character is and what they're doing. The jobs and events listed in the Owl Post are supposed to be prompts for what you could have your character do. By all means, though--if you've got another idea for a job or anything else at all, go for it! Just make sure you start in one of the designated areas.

After everyone's completed their intro, reply to whoever else may be in your area alphabetically by URL. For example, A, B, and C all made starter posts in Belvast. B would reply to A's, then C to B's reply, and so forth. They would not, however, reply to D and E in Filia.

In order to prevent confusion, once everyone gets their starter up, I'll make a post declaring post order(s).So just worry about that for now!

Above all though, have fun! I am super excited about getting this going.

Keep in mind we're still open(and most likely always will be)! Hoping to get started this weekend if all goes as planned, but people are still free to join afterwards if they want.

Can we change things on our submissions after we have submitted them? Not something drastic, like race, but other things? For example, if I wanted to change a little something in my characters history, or if something happens in a roleplay that drastically changes my character, can I submit an edit?

I don’t see why not! All good characters develop and grow over time. We’re not going to keep character info posted on the group blog, anyways(we’re trusting that will be posted on your character’s blog if at all, so you could edit it any time, really)—the app is more of a way for you to introduce us to your character and keep track of everyone entering the roleplay. So feel free to change things as you see fit, you don’t even necessarily need to submit an edit.
