Life update.
Hello friends! Patrick John Kirch here checking in from the depths of writing a new album. I know it has only been a few weeks but I miss playing shows and seeing you guys each day. We are having a blast writing music though and are in the phase where we could make any kind of album. We have so many songs and are just going to keep exploring whatever path calls us and then we will eventually put it together in a way that means something. Some days have been easy and it seems like the ideas just come and then sometimes we are banging our heads against the wall for 8 hours at time not getting anything done but it is all a part of the process of creating something new. It is so exciting, we have no clue what this thing will turn into just like you guy’s and I would bet I am even more excited. It is all I think about. We will be going out to New York next week to catch the city vibe and write more music there for awhile and then play the Webster Hall show! We have always wanted to spend some time in New York to write music so we decided to finally go for it. Eventually we will head almost as far north as you can go in California and build a studio on a cliff overlooking some water. Can’t wait to show you what it looks like. Feeling really good! Well sometimes. I get freaked out too, second guessing stuff but I have done that on every album. The unknown is the best part.
I wish we were playing more basketball but we have been working on music for so many hours every day that no one has the energy. Been able to spend some time with family and have been trying to read some books. If you would have told me that I would read books every day a few years ago I would have thought you were crazy but I have been enjoying it so much. Ooo yeah and I downloaded the “Headspace” app that you probably hear ad’s for all time if you listen to podcasts but if you don’t know it’s a meditation app. Also as of like 2 weeks ago I never thought I would enjoy it but I decided to start trying new things and saying yes way more. I’ve been really enjoying it and the 10 minutes a day it has you meditate goes by so fast it’s crazy. I promise I am not becoming some crazy hippie though….. Anyways I think that is all that is happening in my world. Miss you all very much and can’t wait to see some of you in NYC. Hope you are doing well and try and smile a little more. Talk to you soon.

I don't say thank you enough. If it wasn't for all of you supporting our music we would not be creating and who knows what I'd be up to. Just needed to say that. I understand it so much more than you could ever know and we work hard every day to try and put that thanks into action and ultimately will always fall short because of what an incredible family you've built for is. 8123 is the reason I am excited about each and every day I'm alive. I love you all! That's it.
