Bonus:
I’ve had this song in my itunes since I was a sophomore in high school almost a decade ago. But it came on shuffle on my bus ride home yesterday, and the song hit me like a truck, like it was my first time hearing it. It was so sad but it was so good. I kept playing it over and over again to stay in the moment. I couldn’t remember why I was emotional listening to it. No one close to me had substance issues. Today I remembered. Last year I co-facilitated a substance use treatment recovery group; I think the song brought up the feelings and experiences people from the group have shared with me.

I’m sure we’re taller in another dimension
You say we’re small and not worth the mention
You’re tired of moving, your body’s aching
We could vacay, there’s places to go
Clearly this isn’t all that there is
Can’t take what’s been given
But we’re so okay here, we’re doing fine
wtf….I can’t even walk without tripping how she do that……
this is so beautiful
Yo....
