This week I’ve worked on some final color corrections, sfx tweaks, and a first pass of captions without the music.

This week’s update is with no music, but all SFX and ambient sound. I learned After Effects Rotobrush and worked on color correcting and one last minute timing change.

This week I finished up a reshoot, added a new shot in the montage and reworked the editing to clarify the mapmaker’s motivations.

Had one of my puppet's legs break while animating this weekend, but I was able to fix it by the next shooting session. I also finished up my miniature cottage for the bookend exterior shots!

I’ve finished animating and have already done a few reshoots! I also tried to do a first pass at color correction, but will need to bring a few shots into Adobe After Effects to mask out the cottage window.

This week I worked on creating the flat for outside the cottage window and sculpting the hills for my miniature exterior bookend shots.

My in-progress screenings file; complete with rough sound and composing. The screening went well and I received great feedback on performance, timing, shot composition, and lighting.

Pop Through Update! I had to make the ppi super low to be able to upload it, but I was able to color correct the darker shots.

I’ve started my pop through! The audio on this video is a bit out of sync, but I plugged my pop through shots into my animatic. I got quite a few shots done, but started having a rough time with lighting and getting shadows around the edges while maintaining a good amount of light on my puppet. I’m enjoying the process overall though!

This week I finished marking up the envelopes, created and decorated my set with maps, made more coins so that the jar could be full, experimented with animatable paper, and prepared the lighting set up in my studio space. I also completed one pop through for shot 02 of my film, but the timing is off and needs to be reconfigured.
