Turning Tables || Rory, Dean, and Sam
“No, he’s lying. The book only tells us how to take an angel’s grace. He wants it for himself.” Sam’s hazel gaze locked with Rory’s. Lying to the male’s face was almost too easy. The youngest Winchester was a demon. He didn’t feel remorse. Despite not particularly caring about what happened to Rory, Sam needed him. He was willing to go to any length to stop Rory from becoming human.
“Don’t pretend like you wouldn’t do the same thing. Are you sure it’s what he wants, or what you angels have been feeding into his head?” Sam wasn’t sure if his brother caught onto his plan. If he was going to try and change Rory’s mind, manipulation was the best way to do it.
Sam’s eyes locked with his brother’s. He began treading carefully. He tried to anticipate the man’s every move. Dean could smite him at any moment. Sam recognized that. His hazel gaze shifted to a jet black hue.
It was clear to Rory, or so he thought, that there was more going on between the brothers than just what was going on on the surface, and he suddenly wished that he had gone to someone else for help. He could have gone to Meg, who had been helping him control his urges, but he couldn’t help but feel like maybe she would feel like it was a slap to the face that he no longer wanted to be a demon.
He took a subtle step to the side and looked back and forth between each brother intently. “It is what I want,” he cut in, his voice a lot more authoritative than it had been since he walked in.
“I can’t stay like this. My wife needs me, and I can’t let her see me like this,” he added, this time directing his attention back to Dean alone, his own eyes going black as his emotions started to get the better of him, proving to himself that he was making the right decision.
Dean was putting all his effort into holding back from attacking his brother -- reminding him of the last time that he was there and ran into him. Which was just another reason why all of this needed to come to an end. He wouldn’t forgive himself if he permanently hurt his brother, or worse -- if his brother ended up dead at his hand.
And he knew Sam would feel the same if the opposite happened.
He was about to retort to Sam’s accusation until Rory spoke up, his tone catching him off guard, the shade of his eyes catching him even more off guard. Dean nodded once. He had known Amy previously, and agreed. He didn’t know what was going on with her now, but knew that she had disappeared and returned, based off what he’d seen online.
“I can help. Ignore him. If he has a problem, I’ll deal with it. He just doesn’t want to lose a possibly ally.” He promised, shooting a warning glare at his brother, fearing that a fight between them was going to be inevitable.
