Vege Garden doing so well now the weather has cooled down. Lachie and I put together the net dome this morning to keep the parrots off our strawberries. (at Hervey Bay, Queensland)

Planning a Holiday

So later this year we are planning an Asia holiday through Borneo, Cambodia, Thailand and Singapore. It's Maddi's last year of High School and she isn't interested in the parties of Schoolies Week. Instead she wanted a family holiday. I guess this is because she figures we won't be taking her on any more holidays once she is all grown up and at University. Anyhow - we were relieved to say the least about not wanting to go to schoolies.

Now as is typical in our family, Sharon is the organised one. She has spent endless hours planning the trip, researching personal tour guides, checking out all the best sights to visit. She's come up with quite the itinerary. We are fully booked and ready to go in November.

Now for my contribution - new toys to take away with us. I am a big kid after all. The latest acquisition is a camera drone. The Yuneec Breeze 4K. Looks like a fairly safe drone for a novice such as myself. Reasonable quality camera and some easy to use flying/filming options. All I have to do is await it's arrival from Germany. Germany - you may ask. Well yes - it was the best value for money option, together with batteries from Poland and a FPV Kit from the Netherlands. You have to love this global marketplace. 

Anyhow - I will obviously have to try it out before we go. Stay tuned for a vlog of my maiden flight.
