This post is just a teeny bit late but I wanted to make sure I could gather every pic I could. Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes! I am absolutely grateful to those who sent me love & greetings all around, & even more thankful for the people who spent the day with me, even if just for a moment. Looking back at the past year or so, what with the state of the world & the pandemic & such, I feel like the biggest thing I've come to learn (aside from discovering that I do indeed have an introverted side lol) is the feeling of appreciation towards everything in life, big or small, & more importantly the people in my life, specifically those who are willing to stay even after a year without communication or interaction. This year I've seen people come & go, and just like many others, I've lost loved ones too. But I look back & think of the memories & I remember that no matter how hard things may be, no matter how alone in the world you feel, one thing is for certain: There will ALWAYS be a reason to continue. This year has hit me (& many others, I'm sure) with so much hatred. So much pain, so much sadness, all stemming from fear, indifference & the inability of others to sit down & understand each other. People judge each other now more than ever just because of who they are, how they look, who they love, what they support, or what they believe in. This year, like every year, I want to continue my journey to grow & do what I've always tried to do: Make a life where I can spread joy & inspire others to do the same & be themselves & fight for their dreams, all through my crazy personality, talents, & interests. People this year have asked me, "How do I keep going? How do I move forward? How is it possible for me to stay positive?" My answer is always the same: I do it by staying me and following my Motto. KEEP DOING YOU: Be Proud of Who You Are, No Matter What KEEP SHARING LAUGHS: Spread love & positivity to others even in the darkest times KEEP ON RAMBLING: never be afraid to speak your mind. Today, if you haven't seen already, @randomramblingsproductions is undergoing some BIG updates and changes & I wanted to take this moment to not only promote, but explain why RRP is so important to me & also why I'm so thankful for it. I'm grateful to RRP because it has given me a dream to fight for, a goal to accomplish, a mission to complete. RRP has lead me down a path where I was able to find a place to truly be myself. Most importantly, it has given me wonderful experiences & relationships with friends that I will forever cherish. Every day I share a photo that is meaningful to me without explanation (& then I decide to break that rule & explain it anyways). Every day I nominate 1 person to carry it on. Day 8: Time for some sappiness! The reason this photo is meaningful to me is because of how well this fun little hang out was planned out amongst friends that barely get to see each other. I was on a trip to @horrornightsorl with @sillydrifloon & @proenzarebecca and we got the chance to visit and spend some time with @billiamthies and @arizona.rose which was super cool because it's been a while since we've seen them. It was nice to just sit down and talk about random stuff, not just the typical things you'd expect content creators to discuss. I also got to finally meet @big.pumbo and flipping hold a snek for the 1st time (which if you were there you'd see my reaction the entire time, it was hysterical!). Every day I share a photo that is meaningful to me without explanation (& then I decide to break that rule & explain it anyways). Every day I nominate 1 person to carry it on. Day 7: So this image is rather simple, but meaningful, nonetheless. This was one of the very 1st photos taken when I began to take my business with conventions seriously. At the time, @randomramblingsproductions was just a team with a name and a dream. We didn't know that many people and at this point we've only just officially started our YouTube channels and our con panels. It wasn't until our very 1st official panel at @mizucon_official that we realized that we wanted to not only join the convention scene, but be a driving force for it. This photo was taken during our 2nd #mizucon and at that point, we've began to grow a little bit, not only in numbers, but in friends. We want to continue to grow and become that force within the convention scene that people can trust and depend on! I was nominated for the 10-Day Life Is Good Photo Challenge: 10 days, 10 photos, 10 nominations. Every day I share a photo that is meaningful to me without explanation. Every day I nominate 1 person to carry it on. Day 6: Once again cheating as I'm sharing more than 1 photo, but I felt I needed to share more than 1 to show it's importance. The reason this photo is so meaningful to me is because it was my 1st real step into the realm of acting. I was part of the @etc_6784 (Everglades Thespians) & my 1st time auditioning for Hairspray. Keep in mind, I knew absolutely nothing about Broadway or plays except for the phrases "Break a leg" & "The show must go on", but for some reason, people really wanted me to audition. So I did. At the time, I was only a singer part of the @ehs_legacychoir & a band organization that my friend @deshantinmusic & I started so acting was only a thing that I've shown interest in. I did the audition & surprisingly enough, I got one of the lead roles! I got excited! 1 day, my Choir Director (shout out to Davis) & the Thespian Director sat me down & explained that the role I'd be playing would be Edna, the mother to Tracy (shout out to @kris10horgan my daughter lol) & was usually a character played by a Male actor. At 1st, I claimed it was no big deal, but after a month or 2 of rehearsals, I put the costume on. Not sure why, I felt extremely shocked & looking at myself in the mirror with makeup, I also felt nervous. I remember feeling so uneased that I cried in front of the cast. When I look back now, I don't remember why I felt so freaked out. I think it was me feeling self conscious? After some time talking to some friends, castmates & family, I decided to put on a brave face & continue the part. Opening night, the show was fantastic, & I've never had such a fun time acting on stage before! It was a blast! Even got a standing ovation! The lesson I learned here was to not be afraid to try new things, or leave your comfort zone to live life happily, or reach a goal! A lesson I remember every day.
