‪im just imagining like keith and his mom both go back to the castle for wtv reason (maybe he just wants everyone to meet her) and she’s off talking to allura or smth and keith is watching from a distance kinda warily bc this is his mom and he’s happy he’s found her but like. he needs some space since she DID leave him and everything and lance comes up from behind‬ ‪and he’s like (jokingly) “i guess bad hair runs in the family” referring to krolias unfortunate rat tail and keiths eyes just widen bc its been so long that he’s heard something as ridiculous and insulting without actually being insulting like that and its so lance that he just‬ ‪smiles softly and huffs out a laugh bc leave it to lance to make their first interaction in so long so easy and normal 

and he just goes ‘wanna know something weird’ and lance is like yeah and keith goes ‘i missed you’ and lances face gets real soft with surprise for a second‬ ‪bc he wasnt expecting keith to say smth so genuine but then he also smiles and he’s like ‘wanna know something weirder?’ and keiths like yeah and lance goes ‘i missed you too’ and keith turns to face him then and they just stare for a second before pulling eachother in for a hug‬ ‪and it’s quick bc this isn’t the time or place to act on wtv deeper feelings they have but when they pull apart lance just says really matter of factly that ‘y’know things aren’t the same around here with you gone’ and he looks so sincere but keith doesnt kno what to say to that so he‬ ‪just reaches out for lances hand and squeezes it once and giving him a sad and small smile or something. dreamworks please ‬
