Over the next few days Ivory would relegate the rainwater over to the bars, allowing the rain to seep into the bars and try and rust them as she shook them. She had to duck a few times away from guards as she tried to loosen the bars. Lady Galacta Knight usually was sent away on duties, always coming back exhausted and emotionally drained, and it hurt to see her like that to the young puff. The tremors unnerved both puffs as they got worse and worse, and then things went out of hand. Lady Galacta lifted her head as Ivory continued, managing to get one of the bars loose before Rind turned to face the window, charging forward with a Double Edge attack that shattered the glass on the door, alerting the guards. “Rind!” Ivory cried out, “I almost had it!” Still, they needed to get ready, and Ivory knew what to do. She grabbed some of the glass, carefully, before scattering it out and leaving a trail of painful spiky hazards as she tore one of the bars free, ready to use it as a weapon. Lady Galacta immediately stood up, grabbing her own weapons. “Forget it, Rind is right. We cannot stay here any longer or this entire place will collapse on us.”

What You Truly Are

Of course he would jump right into asking all the hard questions. Lady Night being one of them. Louise poured a couple of saucers of hot water as Dark meta Knight mulled over the teas, though he caught the eye of his maid. She blinked in sympathy before she ducked out. Of course Louise knew about him well enough, but the discussion of Lady Night was always a sensitive topic. “She was the owner of Moonlight Mansion until I took over,” He explained simply. He hoped that was enough, but he knew that Meta Knight might try and gently poke more details out of him. Especially with the mention of the fire.

With all the information provided, Meta Knight could infer what could have happened to Lady Night, so he decided not to say anything else. Though he still had to wonder about the type of relationship they may have had to warrant Dark Meta taking over her property.

“RIght…” The knight dipped the teabag into the hot water, watching the warm golden color slowly appear as the herbs steeped in the liquid. “Does any one else live here besides you?”

Dark Meta Knight looked down at his tea, certainly glad he didn’t have to add on any details about Lady Night. He appreciated her company and they were particularly close, maybe intimate in some ways, but Dark Meta Knight wasn’t exactly an intimate kind of puff. Not after what he had been through, after all. He kept an arms distance from everybody now. “Aside from the typical workers, maids, and of course Louise here,” Dark Meta Knight paused, before he relented, “My, ah, son… Chalk lives here.” He never talked much about Chalk, not to Meta Knight at least. So of course that would be news to the other puff. Dark Meta Knight half wondered what the little puff would think of Meta Knight.

Him? A father? Now that’s a shocker. Of course Meta Knight refused to display his shock, so instead he took a sip of tea.

“Hm… At least yours is alive.” Meta commented in a completely stoic tone as he stared into his teacup, placing it down on the table.

The knigh sighed, still in denial that who was essentially his evil twin was also a father. The though crossed his mind that Chalk could be some mirror alternate of Viridian. But that seemed like a stretch, so he disregarded the idea.

“Have you raised him well?”

Dark Meta Knight paused at Meta Knight’s words. What the hell did he mean by that? Was it a jab against him for being a father, or did Meta Knight used to have children himself? He wouldn’t pry; it wasn’t his business after all. Still, he stared down at the tea as he regarded his reflection. “Hn,” He paused a moment, before speaking up, “He’s been raised well. He may be a little bit blunt at times, but his heart’s in the right place.” It was weird to think about Chalk like that, but Dark Meta Knight knew Chalk came out of a very bad situation and he’s trying to make the most of it. If Chalk came out better than Dark Meta Knight himself, he felt it was good enough.

"Where am I?"//Randomeevee w/Dark Meta Knight

Rind wouldn’t be able to see much of anything in the dark, dank caverns of Radish Ruins. That had been the place Dark Meta Knight had typically hidden himself since the complete failure of his recent revenge scheme that started in Floralia. The mirror had since been shattered and repaired, but that wouldn’t stop him from watching as others challenging his superiority, and there was already another threat to his status that needed to be dealt with.It just so happened that this creature would give him something that he needed. She came across his line of sight, and now she was at his mercy. Dark Meta Knight whipped around as the little creature spoke up, and he paused for a few seconds for dramatic flair before his glowing silver sword slowly moved over to point at the Eevee.“You are at the end of the line.”

Quinn and Syn disregarded Dark Meta Knight for now, they were too busy drying each other’s tears of worry for the other.

Eve had her ears low as she looked at her and Rind’s clone being affectionate. Suddenly, she felt really guilty. Their two clones behaved better than she and Rind, what gives!?

“Even if you do say you won’t try to hurt her, I don’t think she’ll believe you.” Eve sighed. “I know her enough to know that she doesn’t forget about these things, and she doesn’t forget who I’ve allied with. She’s a bit of a grudge-holder in that way, I guess..” Eve brought her ears back up and corrected her posture. “Besides, Rind can take care of herself. Those wounds she got didn’t seem to be too grievous, all she needs to do is use Wish and she’ll survive.”

Rind was far away from the Mirror clones, and the one lab clone. She made it back to the place she and Chalk had met up a night or two before, where she resorted to painfully licking her wounds, especially the bleeding bite on her shoulder and the claw marks on her front leg. For whatever reason, Wish wasn’t working properly in this world, as it was only healing her smaller injuries and not the larger ones.

The Eevee staggered to a stone and rested her head on it, a single though bouncing through her head.

An injury you can’t heal will only impair you. You can’t hunt right, and you become a target to predators. This is how you die in the wild.

Dark Meta Knight knew better than to believe Eve. He was good at his intuition and he knew Rind would be in trouble otherwise. The problem of finding her might be an issue, but either way, he would have to wriggle his way out of this one. “Fine. Eve, Quinn, and Syn… you three head back to Moonlight Mansion. Louise will assist you in anything you need,” Dark Meta Knight put his sword up, “I’m going to find my son. It gets dangerous late at night.” He didn’t wait for a response. As soon as he formed his wings form his cape, he jumped up and flew off, tracking down the location of his son-and maybe, hopefully, Rind. —- Yes indeed Chalk had snuck off to try and look for Rind again. It was only natural he did, and Dark Meta Knight easily could track down his son and follow him. It would be easier to locate the two of them at the same time, after all. Chalk had looked around the boulders, trying to find out where Rind could be.

Eve couldn’t help but glare at him as he flew off. Just what could’ve happened if she lacked both a stellar sense of smell, but fighting skills as well?

With a snort, she flicked her tail at the mirror clones, a silent sign to follow her. She knew where Moonlight Mansion was, after all.

Hearing something not far off into the distance, Rind perked her ears up and lightly sniffed the air, catching Chalk’s scent. There ws someone else swift approaching, but that could be dealt with later.

She sat up and tried to make herself presentable, swiping her tongue over her shoulder and any bits of ruffled fur. She couldn’t be seen looking like a ragamuffin, after all.

“Chalk.” Rind spoke from behind him when she saw the Puffball come into view, his back briefly turned to her. She maintained a posture that, while a little painful at the moment, seemed dignified for a creature of her stature and looks.

As Chalk looked around, he heard Rind immediately and perked up when he saw her. He was intensely worried and he already ran over to check up on her. Her stance looked rough, but he didn’t worry about it too much. “Rind! You’re okay!” He cried out in a lowered voice, “I got worried. I heard there was a big fight a-and...” “What happened?” As he asked that, Dark Meta Knight flitted through the shadows to track down Chalk, closing in on the other as he paved his way through the forests.

⁉️ - (Galacta Knight)

Getting over to this point was no easy feat for the sisters. They had heard of a large, empty cave that could serve them well as a home. No town, village, or orphanage would take them in or suit their needs, so the three sisters gave up on trying to seek their help and opted to live on their own instead. Vanilla was close to becoming a legal adult puff, surely she could take care of them, right?

It was when they entered the cave that Cinnamon felt uneasy. Her ability to detect magic-based threats was much more sensitive compared to Vanilla or Mint. But it wasn’t long before some shadows seized her sisters and tossed Cinnamon out with a sudden and strong gust of wind, surely sensing her magic skills.

Cinnamon was thrown out of the cave and flung quite a ways away, as the red puff recalled seeing water briefly before colliding with something- or someone. 

That was enough to knock her out into a dizzy haze, vision blurry as her blue eyes did their best to focus on a masked figure staring over her. Surely shocked upon seeing a child quite literally fall from the sky.

Cinnamon was already prepared for an attack. Whatever had kicked her out before saw that she was back, and had brought reinforcements with her. Now that she meant business, they would not hesitate in fighting her off with their new toys.

Cinnamon heard a familiar growl reverberate through the cave, and she immediately knew what it meant.

“Look out!” Cinnamon yelled as she dove for Lady Galacta Knight quite suddenly, knocking them both out of the way of a pair of claws that slashed like knives.

Mint had failed to pounce on them, so she resorted to growling at them to try and intimidate. At first, Cinnamon was delighted to see her sister again, but she stopped herself from running to meet her like a blubbering fool. Mint was different. It was as if she had aged in the course of a day, as she was slightly bigger, her fur a darker color, and her Puff fangs had fully grown in and sharpened.

Another personage stepped behind Mint, a seemingly grown light blue puff with large white wings that could rival Lady Galacta’s. She held a golden halberd, the spike and axe fashioned into wings. From the sister’s looks and stances, Cinnamon immediately caught onto what was going on.

“…Thieves Magic.. They’ve been possessed!” Cinnamon exclaimed. “Lady Galacta Knight.. I don’t know if I-we can fend them off!”

Mint took this opportunity of confusion from Cinnamon to try and pounce on Lady Galacta again. Cinnamon however quickly got in the way and blocked the attack with a Mirror Shield. She saw Vanilla preparing a Meggiddo Flame attack from the corner of her eye…

Lady Galacta Knight let out a grunt as she was pushed out of the way of an ambush, rolling over on her side and scattering black feathers as she glanced over to Cinnamon and then to the source of her attacker. As she looked at the other puff, she pulled out her lance, ready to fight back. “Possessed?” She asked, before Mint leaped out, ready to fight. Lady Galacta Knight pulled back. Sure, they were bigger and stronger, but she was counting on the fact they didn’t have the same skillsets as she did. Waving her hand, she launched reflective mirrors out of the ground, reflecting the images of Mint and Vanilla as she pulled back. Whatever magic she had planned, she hoped to reflect it with her magic. “We can. We just have to defeat them to knock the spell out.”

“Are you sure that’s possible?” Cinnamon whimpered. She looked over at Mint, who was naturally confused by the mirror, though Vanilla didn’t seem phased as her Halberd continued to gather fiery energy, which collected at the point.

“Thieves magic not only takes control of someone, they get a complete buff along with it! I know my sisters are normally strong, but like this, then I’m afraid-!”

Cinnamon jumped in surprise as an arrow planted itself in the ground, right inbetween Lady Galacta Knight and her. Mint had stopped trying to fight head-on, and was now sniping at them from the shadows.

Cinnamon glanced at the Sunstone in her rod and knew what to do. If she could perform the spell right, she could summon her and have her drive out the possession!

“Lady Galacta Knight.” Cinnamon said in an unusually calm voice as she held her rod to her eyes. “Please cover me. I’m going to try something, but I need protection.” Cinnamon knelt down and chanted into her rod, loosing feeling as she focused on her most powerful spell.

“Venite ad me: Venit ad me. Nobilis est ignis magnus, Seraphina! Pugna pro me illique praecipiam meum et vocavi te!”

This was getting more complicated by the second. Whatever magic was being used, there might not be an easy way to get out of it. As she jumped back to avoid an arrow shot by Mint, Lady Galacta glanced behind her to spot Cinnamon looking at her rod. Whatever she was planning, she hoped it would be okay. “I’m here,” She jumped back, holding her shield out to protect Cinnamon from any wayfaring arrows and halberd shots, “Do what you can, my child. Do not exert yourself, though.” She wasn’t sure what spell was planned, but either way, she hoped that it might help. Lady Galacta Knight gripped her lance as she summoned mirror shards to launch at Mint and Vanilla, hoping to distract them.

Cinnamon seemed to smirk briefly. But… That’s exactly what I intend to do!

Mint was starting to get more and more creative with where she shot her arrows. The green puff was quite quick on her feet, and slunk from shadow to shadow. It seemed that a new flurry of arrows sprang out of a new place at every heartbeat.

Mint didn’t need her arrows to hit, though. They were merely a distraction as Vanilla built her flames up. She had begun to see through the mirror magic, and then decided to take her shot, aiming squarely for Cinnamon and Lady Galacta Knight.

The halberd would’ve hit its targets and skewered them, if the launched halberd hadn’t been caught.

A large, red-violet tigress stood over Cinnamon and Lady Galacta Knight, a flaming halberd tightly in its jaws. The blaze that seemed to burn brightly at the point was being drawn to the tigress, who seemed to lick at them.

The tigress roared, stunning whatever was controlling Vanilla and Mint. While the tigress lumbered first over to Mint, leaving embers in her wake, Cinnamon was completely immobile in her spot.

It was getting harder and harder to protect Cinnamon from the flurry of attacks. She could see that Vanilla was working on her own magic and whatever was going on, she wasn’t sure what to do. As soon as the arrows finished, Lady Galacta felt helpless at Vanilla’s charged attack. That is until a large flaming tigress leaped out, roaring. It was impressive, but the queen didn’t spent too much time worrying about it. She had to abandon her spot of protection from Cinnamon to dash over to Vanilla, her wings out and fluffed up to look larger than the other puff (and she was).  She’s rear back to use her shield to try and knock Vanilla’s halbert out of the way, ready to disarm her.

Dark Meta Knight strums on a guitar, a quiet ballad before he suddenly opens his mouth, belting out in a loud, gutteral voice.“I hate you.I hate you.I hate you.I hate you.I hate you.I hate you.I hate you.I hate you.I hate you.I hate you.I hate you.I hate you.I hate you.I hate you.I hate you.I hate you.”And he just repeats his ad infinitum until Lady Galacta comes in to smack him with a pillow.

Rind didn’t doubt Lady Galacta’s sheer strength one bit. She knew that if she really wanted, she could pound this entire castle into a dust so fine, it could blend right in with the sand below them. But she still worried about how exactly they were going to survive if the entire structure collapsed.

The falling rain should’ve lulled every soul still awake after the entire fiasco to a deep sleep by now, but an Eevee remained awake. She still sat under Lady Galacta’s wings, but she glanced around the room for weak points. The window was too small for them all the squeeze through, the overly large steel doors seemed to have a weak current running through them to discourage attempts to ram it down. But Rind had her sights set on the balcony, which was guarded by glass windows that were locked on the outside. That seemed to be a possability, Rind thought as she stared at her claws, maybe if I dug hard enough… 

She carefully slipped away from Lady Galacta and stare at the balcony, her feet trembling in anticipation.

She couldn’t evolve, and Lady Galacta Knight couldn’t use her magic. But if Rind could push herself to dig through the stony floor, she might be able to unlock it, and Lady Galacta Knight could fly off. Granted, they’d probably land and start running, as anyone flying through this storm was just begging to be struck by lightning.

Rind rose her two front paws up an began to furiously scratch at the stone floor. Little by little, she could break through these stones if she set her mind to it!

Lady Galacta Knight was fast asleep, exhausted from the stress and worry over her daughters, on the other hand, Ivory couldn’t sleep well at all. As soon as she heard Rind scratching at the ground, she lulled herself awake, looking over to the other curiously. As soon as she could, she slipped down to grab one of her wrenches from the backpack she had, and then walked over to Rind. “Are you trying to dig out? The place might be soft enough, but this stone…” Ivory started, before she looked at her wrench and looked around. Maybe they could loosen up the bars, or she could work on the hinges. Anything to get them out of here. “Do you need help or ideas?” She asked quetly.

Rind stopped her furious scratching at the floor, noticing the little claw marks she had left on the stones. She sighed, her ridiculous idea catching up to her. Digging through the stones was not going to work, not unless she wanted to file her claws down.

Rind perked her ears up when she saw Ivory’s wrench. Of course! How could she have forgotten about it?

“Maybe you could work on removing the door hinges.” Rind suggested, but brought Ivory close to whisper. “But do it carefully, Ivory. I have the feeling that we’re going to be watched by that creep, and it wouldn’t be good for us if we were caught in the act.”

Rind looked at the glass door again, noting the rain pick up in intensity. She really didn’t want to be around for when this castle washed away. The Eevee stalked over to the glass and touched it with her nose, testing it.

She made a very short nod to her reflection, steeling herself on what she would have to do as a last resort should things get ugly. The glass was thin enough, and Rind was plenty powerful…

“Of course!” Ivory whispered back, as she looked at the hinges of the iron bars. They were tight fit and rusted, and she slunk over to scratch at some of the rust to try and find out what kind of screwdriver she’d need for the whole thing. As she looked at it, she felt a pang of disappointment as she saw what that entailed. “Great... it’s built in, so there’s no nails or bolts to remove. It’s all rusted as well. So there’s gotta be another way...” Ivory looked around, before she put her mind to work on solutions. If there was a way to eat at the iron... “Salt water... Salt water ruins iron, that’s why it’s so rusty!” Ivory whispered, “Is it possible to cause a leak?”

“Thieves magic not only takes control of someone, they get a complete buff along with it! I know my sisters are normally strong, but like this, then I’m afraid-!”

Cinnamon jumped in surprise as an arrow planted itself in the ground, right inbetween Lady Galacta Knight and her. Mint had stopped trying to fight head-on, and was now sniping at them from the shadows.

Cinnamon glanced at the Sunstone in her rod and knew what to do. If she could perform the spell right, she could summon her and have her drive out the possession!

“Lady Galacta Knight.” Cinnamon said in an unusually calm voice as she held her rod to her eyes. “Please cover me. I’m going to try something, but I need protection.” Cinnamon knelt down and chanted into her rod, loosing feeling as she focused on her most powerful spell.

“Venite ad me: Venit ad me. Nobilis est ignis magnus, Seraphina! Pugna pro me illique praecipiam meum et vocavi te!”

This was getting more complicated by the second. Whatever magic was being used, there might not be an easy way to get out of it. As she jumped back to avoid an arrow shot by Mint, Lady Galacta glanced behind her to spot Cinnamon looking at her rod. Whatever she was planning, she hoped it would be okay. “I’m here,” She jumped back, holding her shield out to protect Cinnamon from any wayfaring arrows and halberd shots, “Do what you can, my child. Do not exert yourself, though.” She wasn’t sure what spell was planned, but either way, she hoped that it might help. Lady Galacta Knight gripped her lance as she summoned mirror shards to launch at Mint and Vanilla, hoping to distract them.

"Where am I?"//Randomeevee w/Dark Meta Knight

Rind wouldn’t be able to see much of anything in the dark, dank caverns of Radish Ruins. That had been the place Dark Meta Knight had typically hidden himself since the complete failure of his recent revenge scheme that started in Floralia. The mirror had since been shattered and repaired, but that wouldn’t stop him from watching as others challenging his superiority, and there was already another threat to his status that needed to be dealt with.It just so happened that this creature would give him something that he needed. She came across his line of sight, and now she was at his mercy. Dark Meta Knight whipped around as the little creature spoke up, and he paused for a few seconds for dramatic flair before his glowing silver sword slowly moved over to point at the Eevee.“You are at the end of the line.”

Quinn and Syn disregarded Dark Meta Knight for now, they were too busy drying each other’s tears of worry for the other.

Eve had her ears low as she looked at her and Rind’s clone being affectionate. Suddenly, she felt really guilty. Their two clones behaved better than she and Rind, what gives!?

“Even if you do say you won’t try to hurt her, I don’t think she’ll believe you.” Eve sighed. “I know her enough to know that she doesn’t forget about these things, and she doesn’t forget who I’ve allied with. She’s a bit of a grudge-holder in that way, I guess..” Eve brought her ears back up and corrected her posture. “Besides, Rind can take care of herself. Those wounds she got didn’t seem to be too grievous, all she needs to do is use Wish and she’ll survive.”

Rind was far away from the Mirror clones, and the one lab clone. She made it back to the place she and Chalk had met up a night or two before, where she resorted to painfully licking her wounds, especially the bleeding bite on her shoulder and the claw marks on her front leg. For whatever reason, Wish wasn’t working properly in this world, as it was only healing her smaller injuries and not the larger ones.

The Eevee staggered to a stone and rested her head on it, a single though bouncing through her head.

An injury you can’t heal will only impair you. You can’t hunt right, and you become a target to predators. This is how you die in the wild.

Dark Meta Knight knew better than to believe Eve. He was good at his intuition and he knew Rind would be in trouble otherwise. The problem of finding her might be an issue, but either way, he would have to wriggle his way out of this one. “Fine. Eve, Quinn, and Syn... you three head back to Moonlight Mansion. Louise will assist you in anything you need,” Dark Meta Knight put his sword up, “I’m going to find my son. It gets dangerous late at night.” He didn’t wait for a response. As soon as he formed his wings form his cape, he jumped up and flew off, tracking down the location of his son-and maybe, hopefully, Rind. ---- Yes indeed Chalk had snuck off to try and look for Rind again. It was only natural he did, and Dark Meta Knight easily could track down his son and follow him. It would be easier to locate the two of them at the same time, after all. Chalk had looked around the boulders, trying to find out where Rind could be.
