Orbot let out a robotic sigh as he saw the jackalâs tail wagging and heard the way he was purring. No, really, how could someone so adorable be incredible troublesome at the same time?
The robot watched carefully as the artificial mobian approached the X-ray with curiosity and honestly jumped a bit too at Epochâs sudden reaction. Before the little fighty thing could attack the device, the lackey was able to grab his scruff. He did is as softly as he could, though still firmly. Trying to pull him back a little, Orbot tried to catch the sight of the mismatched eyes. He watched a show about pets once and decided to try what was happening there this time.
âNow, listen here. Nothing here will hurt you. Just bare though it a little, alright? Remember: if you stay steady and do what I say quickly, we will get out of here and go do whatever it is you want faster.â
Epoch kept hissing at the X-ray before he flinched and jolted when he felt his scruff getting grabbed. He clicked rapidly but showed no hostility as the pupils in his eyes were still dorkily round as ever. He didnt believe the nothing will hurt you part but he still layed back down and let out a small baby bark in agreement. Staying still might, again, be challenging since this is Epoch. He is either 100%Â hyperactive or 100% lazy, theres no middle ground and today he is hyperactive.
Orbot kept his hand on the jackalâs head, scratching behind his ear from time to time as a distraction. âDo it quicker, before he gets agitated again. There is a schedule to keep up to.â He nodded to the robo-nurses and they started hurrying around.
After taking an x-ray picture, they looked over Epochâs fur, ears, eyes and forced his mouth open a little to watch his teeth and take the analysis of saliva. All was happening so fast so the experiment wouldnât be able to react.
And it worked. Epoch didnât have any time to react to any part of check up with everything happening so quickly. He did flinch back when his mouth was being forced open, trying to get out from the nurse botâs grasp. The small artificial mobian was kinda getting overwhelmed with all the fast paced actions so Epoch curled up into a ball, covering his face. His weekly shots also kept his emotions in check for at least a few hours so it wasnât all that strange that the small jackal was getting easily overwhelmed by the simple fast actions due to not getting them 2 days ago. Delayed shots arenât a good thing.
Small rapid clicking emitted from the small ball of fluff waiting for whatever happens next.
Orbot put another mark on his list and looked up at Epoch. Honestly, what a troublesome creature. Why was he still not destroyed or let out into the wild again?..
Seeing the artificial mobian cower on the table Orbot sighed. Okay, he knew why, but stillâŚÂ
The robot looked the list over and set both nurse bots on downloading and analyzing results. Both of them collected all they gathered and quickly exited the room. Alright⌠Now to the hardest part.
The small bot approached the jackal and pet him between his ears again. âI told you it will only take a minute. You can relax now. Everything is over. We are returning to your room.â
The small artificial mobian flinched at the sudden contact while he was in his little trembly panic fluffball before he almost immediately uncurled from it and leaned closely into the touch, purring. Man, this jackal is really quick to change his attitude and mood.
He tilted his head at the last news. So....they didn't figure out that he had week delayed shots...Epoch was relieved at this, he's home free! His usually tense shoulders visibly relaxed as he hopped off the table and waited for the robot to 'guide' him to his room with the addition of a happy baby body waggle.
