𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 A performance in three stages by Selin Davasse, 2025
She is pleasingly plump. All she wants is to chomp, chomp, chomp. She is quenchless and ravenous. No pile of mulberry leaves is ever enough. She wants more. An economic insect—if she isn’t growing, she’s dying.
Caught in an abyss of jouissance, she is ready to metamorphose. She salivates, she spins, she cocoons. Her head awhirl and her heart in her mouth, she labors with slobbery insistence toward her becoming. But spit by spit, as silk hardens into thread, death is closing in.
At last, she understands the terms and conditions. Raised in a controlled environment that posed as the best of all possible worlds, she was always destined to suffer the worst of all possible deaths: boiled alive—exploited, alienated, unrealized—in the name of maximizing profit.
