Abby’s ancient self’s backstory

Abby is a combination of two people; the Celtic goddess the Morrigann and the Celtic tragic heroine Deirdre. At the christening of the moon princesses, Nehelenia cursed Morrigann (Abby’s ancient self xD) that she would bring war, chaos and ruin to the Silver Millennium because several men shall fight over her for they would want her beauty.

Although Queen Serenity banished Nehelenia, she still feared that her oldest daughter would indeed bring ruin to the Kingdom and thus married her off early to the Crown Prince of the Planet Onyx, Conchobar. She was completely unhappy with the marriage for obvious reasons. She fell in love with a stable boy Naoise. When Conchobar finds out, he is enraged and personally kills Naoise in her presence. Angered and hurt by this, Morrigann loses her insanity and she thus kills her husband and from there, rules the kingdom of Onyx as a tyrannical evil Queen and an evil dark senshi.

Saddened by this, Queen Serenity confronts her daughter and the two engage in battle with Morrigann finally dying in her mother’s arms. This is why no one ever talks about Morrigann in court or why the other Senshi do not remember well, Queen Serenity erased memories of Morrigann from their memories. Heck Abby herself does not call herself a Sailor Senshi, or at least tries not to refer to herself as such. Same goes for the Sailor Muses. Usagi on the other hand feels sorry for her sister and calls her a Sailor Senshi. So if anything, the Sailor Muses were reborn in this current timeline to not only start afresh and rediscover love again after what Queen Serenity did but also, to find redemption for their past sins and find happiness.
