Ripped plants out of my tank and added
Riccardia chamedryfolia
&
Pogostemon Helferi ❤️
Finally you can see some wood again. The shrimp took the chance to take a walk on the freed woodpiece to feast on the microfauna.
I am thinking about removing the lotus. I like it but it takes so much space.

L134 and corydoras hastatus tank.
Update on Julians tank. I noticed a bulb sitting next to my water lotus and I'm not sure if it grew a new bulb or if it somehow lost it's bulb or if thats good or bad? It has a really nice root system going, I tried to see if it still had a bulb attached and kinda fucked it up a bit as you can see. But anyway, I hope it will continue to grow because its my favroite plant and it seems to be doing really well, I keep trimming it back and it keeps putting off new leafs. And I planted the bulb again to see if it'll grow a new plant?
We're finally done with the turtle tank! She came to us with just a heat lamp and barely enough aquarium pebbles to cover the bottom. We're pretty sure she has an oddly grown shell from not having proper UVB lighting but she's got the right stuff now so she'll hopefully be able to live a long happy life. I spent about 7 hours gluing rocks to that tub to make her cave/ filter stand and she hasn't even gone in it yet. Anyway, welcome home blastoise!
Did a massive trim on Julian's tank. Its much more open and light now.
Had a questionably dead mystery snail so I put him in a cup yesterday. Went to check today and spilled it all over me. Judging from the smell its definitely dead.
The first thing Julian did when I put him in the 5gal was punch a snail. (Sorry its so snowy I just did a water change)
Its hard to get good pictures of the boy because he likes to do the zoom.
This is my new son Julian. He's loving the 5 gal.
So I guess I'm getting a painted turtle soon. A friend is looking to rehome a painted, a softshell, and two snappers. I don't want to deal with big mean animals so we said we'd take the painted. I have several tanks sitting around and one I got from a yard sale was full of brand new stuff they were going to use to set up a turtle tank but then they got pregnant and never did it. And it's coming with its own tank and supplies so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I pretty much dont have to buy anything. I've been looking at tank set ups for a few hours now and I'm very excited. I'm going to go as natural as possible. The yard sale stuff came with this huge rock waterfall filter so I'm going to base everything around that. Probably order some large river stones that can't be eaten and some drift wood. It also came with those turtle shelves that I'll use for now but eventually I want to set it up where its completely dry area on top with holes that lead to the full tank at the bottom. Honestly setting up the enclosure is my favroite part of keeping animals. I'm very excited. This will be my first water and land animal.
My nerve plant is so beautiful and I love her so much
The more snails I find in my tank the more my anxiety is kicking in because I was not prepared for this many snails and they are all my children now and I must Care for them...
A good Roomba
Roomba being a good boy. Making the glass very clean.
