Florence and The Machine / Queen Of Peace & Long and Lost

Florence has just released her brand new mini film for album highlights Queen of Peace and Long and Lost! The visuals were shot on location on a remote Scottish island. It follows her incredible run of videos for the HBHBHB album campaign. It’s nice to see effort being shown in an artist’s visuals, stunning.

Izzy Bizu / Give Me Love

Our favourite new singer to the scene this year is Izzy Bizu. We managed to catch her play at Glastonbury last month and it was pretty special. A small intimate crowd in the scorching heat made it a beautiful hazy experience. Latest single Give Me Love is another slice of Bizu’s summery retro approach of course alongside her amazing vocals. We’re super excited for an eventual album. Take some time to brighten up the day.

Bizu has also announced details of a headline show at the London Fields Brewery on September 24, tickets are ready for your money right now.

John Newman / Lights Down

Revolve is the forthcoming sophomore studio album to come from English singer-songwriter and musician John Newman. Kwabs / Fight For Love

Singer-producer Kwabs returns to try and stream his album campaign back on track. After numerous album delays, the singer’s debut album, Love + War, will finally be unleashed September 11th via Warner. Unpopular opinion but I honestly much prefer this to Walk. Tbh, this is a jam.

Jamie T / Don't You Find

He's been one of music's most elusive singers. After the success of two highly acclaimed albums, it all went a tiny bit silent from Jamie T. Year after year, many wondered about his return and retirement from local pubs drinking. News broke earlier last week about a confirmed set of small intimate summer shows. Sparking rumours of an upcoming LP, Jamie tonight has revealed, Don't You Find - the first taste of new material in over five years! Downbeat and moody, this is the start of something special - surely?

Florrie / Little White Lies

For anybody that has been following the career of singer/drummer, Florrie, you will most certainly know it's been a long time coming. After a string of EPs and live dates, the part-time model is ready to release her debut album material. Little White Lies is the first of that journey. In typical Florrie style, it's a spectacular showcase of well-polished pop. Alongside the starring role of the common plastic bag - surely it's a great success?

Foxes / Glorious 

Stylistically, this is beautiful. Watching this is basically Tumblr-porn. Foxes (Louisa Allen) is the queen of pout. Though in retrospect, it's a tad boring. Either way, it's the fourth single to be released from her debut album campaign. Will it achieve much? Probably not, such is life <3

Moko / Your Love

Incredible new single, Your Love, from rising dance and soul songstress Moko. Taking further guidance from mentors Chase & Status, the singer has churned out one of Summer's finest jams. Your Love is the first taste for fans from the forthcoming Gold EP scheduled for release August 24th.

Lily Allen / URL Badman 

OLA! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, i've been dealing with real life issues and such (ZZZ). My first post back deservingly goes to Lily Allen. I arrived home from Glastonbury earlier this week, sore and muddy and dead. One of the highlights for me was Lily's set, it was short and sweet. We bumped into her later in the weekend, she was wearing incredibly impressive platform heels in the most severe muddy conditions (amazing). URL Badman is the next song to get the single treatment. Watch the incredible visuals to Allen's fan-favourite from Sheezus.

LAYLA • Black Mud 

I've been a huge supporter of Jose Vanders for a good five or so years. From listening back on MySpace around 2007 to her current project, LAYLA. It's a wonderful treat to observe how this hugely talented singer has progressed. New single and visuals for Black Mud are truly stunning. I do indeed predict that the hard work is now paying off. An incredible introduction to the forthcoming EP.

Lulu James • Beautiful People 

Taken from Lulu James' upcoming Blackout EP. Beautiful People is the first taste as to what to expect. Drenched with James' beautiful soulful singing trademark. A perfect track for this slow appearance of the sun. We can't wait for what's to come. An album, maybe, please?

MNEK • Every Little Word 

It's finally time for MNEK to step out into the spotlight in his own right. Producing and songwriting tracks for some of the best talent within music isn't enough for this guy. He's only gone and dropped one of the best singles of the year thus far. Signaling his knack for the perfect pop formula alongside 90's references. IT'S SERIOUSLY PERFECT. That artwork too is pretty much on point.

Gorgon City • Here For You (feat. Laura Welsh)

It's around this time of the year that we start to see an influx of summer constructed, dance ready songs for the sun. Gorgon City has teamed up with the beautiful Laura Welsh for latest single - Here For You. A huge powerful anthem that has all the making of a classic. We hope this smashes for both their sakes, it is brilliant.

Rebecca Ferguson | Bridgewater Hall Review | Freedom Tour

It's hard to fathom how a once shy and retiring soul diva in waiting, graced the extravagant X Factor stages, backed with constant scrutinizing judge feedback. Four years have passed since the songstress came up short against the pompous Matt Cardle in the 2010 final. Now with two critically acclaimed studio albums under her belt, Ferguson shows us how that once shy and retiring figure has finally blossomed. 

No excessive smoke machines, epileptic light sequences or stage props are needed to welcome the singer to the stage. The young-mum-of-two dazzles with a beautiful ball gown dress. An introduction begins to her latest LP - Freedom - with the optimistic jazz ballad, Fake Smile. Backed by her army of professionals, the audience gorp, bewildered by Ferguson's beauty. Further highlights include latest single and album favourite, All That I've Got, My Best and the incredibly personal Freedom. 

It's no easy task to drum up a frenzy of screaming middle-aged fans. Or so I assumed. With a voice that demands presence, Rebecca Ferguson has finally matched her talent with confidence. A year of heartache has most certainly given the criminally underrated diva her lease for life. It may have required patience, but Ferguson now has her Freedom.
