The 2025 Goodreads Choice Award is out. So I am currently reading ALL the books that are nominated under Romance category.
Updated.
So happy to say, finally after a decade in goodreads I read 99% of it's romance category. Not so much of an achievement to some people but I've been struggling for years to, at least read 10 books of my favorite genre. I am grateful to have read some new authors to me that I am wanting to read their books for a long time like Meghan Quinn and Carley Fortune, and now I have a more backlisted books to add on the top of my thousands (not an exaggeration) TBRs. I also discovered that serial murderers' romance is not to my liking š Not that I am hating it, I read them without struggling but I would not read them in my normal days. I truly did not love my most anticipated book, Say You Remember Me by Abby Jimenez which is also the same theme as The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang, that until now I am still sad about it. That is not the story I want for Quan š¢. So which book did got my vote? No one. It took me a whole month to finished 12 and a half books š š that I did not reach the dateline.
What romance book is my favorite of the year....?
This novella from Ms. Hazelwood is my fave!!!! Never thought that this 94 pages novella can be so impactful to me!!!! It's how Ms. Hazelwood writes male pining that always pulls my heartstrings. Despite my 4 months reading slump, I achieved a lot this year. THANK YOU 2025!!!!
